Islamabad / Geneva Talks - News & Discussions

Bro don't get carried away - it's still Do More!!!
That do more was for when US was sitting in Afghanistan, now US is back home and they care less if we Do more against WOT or not, now its Do more for purely Pakistan and its citizen.

Another 60 days…..

Truck ki Batti much? Oh yeah 👍
Road map is important, there is a huge trust deficit in between the two parties and a major, major spoiler of the world, Israel factor as well who is already hell bend on derailing the talks. Its not a child play to reach a final peace deal so things will get slowly but hopefully steady for deal of the century. Few months to reach the final deal is peanuts and I sincerely hope, final deal ceremony should be held in Islamabad. Lets see, so far - its going ok if not good.

I think 'Do more" days are over now. The relationship is on a more equal footing.
We were so dependant on the US for cutting edge back then, we showed them on May 7th that the dependancy was over, I think they may even respect that.

If "Do more" comes up again we can give them the finger

This is a transaction just like in the past. US saw an opportunity to "talk" to lran through Pakistan. It has nothing to do with May 7th. We are still dependent on the US for the IMF program and keeping us out of FATF.
One can "spin it " to one's liking.

I do not think those things hold as much sway as in the past, UAE pulled $3 Billion and it was replaced immediately. We got off FATF under Biden who had no time for us.

Yes, we of course need good relationship with US, they are a massive marketg, but this is very far removed from the "Do More" days where FMF/CSF funding and military equipment were a constant source of pressure
