Islamabad Talks - News & Discussions

Most PTI supporters that I knew was happy and appreciative for Pakistan's role in current mediation. Most supporters are educated middle class of Pakistan that forms the core of this nation. They know very well what is right and what is wrong.

However, you must understand that ofcourse the wounded and politically suppressed members of that party would not miss any chance towards civil-military leaders (illegitimate according to them and the polls). It is human nature. They were treated by the state as enemy and traitors with their only fault to stand against military's decision of regime change. That political party was thrown out by sheer brute force despite them winning the majority and their leaders imprisoned in most brutal and fascist way. Their women were dragged, cancer patients imprisoned, their members killed in protests. Its human nature to hate a system which do mountains of injustice against you.

I didn't played or listened to the clip of sister of Imran Khan. But put yourself at her position, If you'd be at her position you would literally kill your opponents, I would do the same. Her son imprisoned for life, her brother is in small windowless cell. His only crime not obeying military decisions.

There is zero contribution of current mil-civil leaders since regime change (btw these civil are just puppets anyways and a mockery). There's just one king of the country, a COAS for life. The economy tanked, the justice system totally under the boots now, hence destroyed, media under boots hence no freedom, human rights etc in every field there is serious degradation, security situation deteriorated in balochistan, kp etc. This regime's only achievement is Trump's flattery and nominating him for peace prize even though he calls of annihilation of a civilization and supports israel which turns Gaza into rubble. People of Paksitan knows that Gaza was turned into blood and dust after regime change. This current regime was very unpopular until Modi's 4 day war which brought whole nation together for unity against a common foe. Even in that war real credit goes to last govt as they procured J-10Cs/PL-15s which resulted in air victory on the night of attack. The regime has zero contribution in that victory. Regime failed to respond to blatant aggression of india for next 4 days. They fired missiles to all major bases and cities of our country.

So, I don't agree to the view where people redirect their critiscm against all PTI supporters and put everyone in same bracket. Although i never voted for PTI, never attended any jalsa, or any membership of sort but If I have to compare and assess between political parties of Pakistan, I will pick PTI in a heartbeat. Knowing they are stupid but they are gazillion times better than N-league for several reasons. I know many pti supporters who forgot their political affiliation / imprisonment of their leader and stood together against common foe like India and than later Afghanistan skirmishes. They never owned or liked wrong numbers like adil rajas.. they even say pmln fund him covertly. No sane person can support such disgusted characters.

Its time we must avoid unneccessary critiscm of maintstream & largest political party of country. Otherwise our problems will never settle. You just cannot alienate the largest segment of the society. Its time for inclusion and fair assessment of last 4-5 years. I don't say PMLN or PPP are traitors even though they have given so many excuses to india to laugh on Pakistan like "taangien kanpna to COAS" in war against india etc. Every political party has serious stakes in Pakistan. The unneccessary bashing of main parties must end. Pakistan Zindabad!

@Oscar
Nothing I don’t agree with from a macro scale but the plain optics and metrics of the small minority you are stating that make and support such statements doesn’t make that minority opinion look anything less than a majority opinion when it comes to “burn and break Pakistan for all we care unless it’s our way” - quite frankly many past figures in the establishment and also Bhutto was another example of this line of thinking which while the majority of his supporters would not echo - back then even with the menace of social media non existent back then, the print media of the times would give that impression.

Either way - not for this topic and not a phenomenon isolated to Pakistan

"damned if you do and damned if you don't"
West always neutralized the independent voices, who wants to govern and best use of there resources. Musadiq, Shah Faisal, Bhutto and later frustrated Shah Iran.

On the bright side, Our assets positioned in KSA can serve as backup during wartime if India initiates an attack heavy barrage that targets our AF Bases.

I don't think india will try any misadventure right now or near future. They still licking their wounds and damages

PAF assets are normally dispersed during heightened alerts. And PAF assets are better served when they are stationed within Pakistan.

It could take even 50 years to reach an agreement.

History shows these deals take years, not days.

Ok...Now What?
The deal was important, more so for Pakistan, India, East Asia and rest of the world than US and Iran.

It’s unfortunate that poor people will continue to suffer with inflation and shortages.
Sir, what worries me is it took 40 days of blood shed to come to negotiating table and it broke down. how much more furious fighting will happen then they will be willing to sit down again.

hard times ahead for our muslims brothers.

So we will attack India from the bases in KSA ? ...
I am dumbfounded.

Don't think aerial assets, ground troops, or even naval ships deployed in KSA will be useful in active defence in Pakistan. Ballistic missiles, on the other hand, are a different story.

Yeah, That’s the dumb reply I was expecting.

How long does it take to fly a Thunder from Riyadh to Pak exactly? Especially in a scenario where your jets on ground were targeted heavily by a surprise barrage?

Precisely! S Gill, Adil Raja and other famous attention seekers didn’t miss this opportunity to ridicule the leadership especially when the Intl. audience is actively looking up to their handles to get updates regarding talks.
