He is the guy who fathered the US consrvative political landscape, specificialy animosity against muslims, in his infamous "The Clash of Civlizations thesis". And how wrong he would be. Little did he know that muslim countries were nowhere near being a threat to western hegemony. By focusing on muslims and islam, America and by proxy western europe became disracted with useless fights. Meanwhile China used that golden opportunity to silently rise and bceome a peer competitor, even surpass America in some areas.

Agreed with you. There are many things China does better than USA, like Mass Production or manufacturing of finished products. Thanks Allah that China has risen. Or this world would be screwed up.

Anti-Muslim bigotry has a long and rich history in the West, Sam Huntington only mused on what was to come.

Anti-Muslim bigotry has a long and rich history in the West, Sam Huntington only mused on what was to come.

Its true.
But the polemics largely sprung out of medieval geopolitics, where the church played its role.

During the cold war, Soviet was a common enemy and therefore anti-muslim rhetoric was toned down. After the cold war, things went back to normal i guess.

The west is a child of the middle world. Islamic civilization influenced europe deeply. Learned westerners know this history very well, but cheap politicians continue to use fearmongering and divide-conqour tactics.
