❗️EU petition surpasses 1 million signatures, triggers review of EU–Israel trade deal

A European Citizens’ Initiative calling to suspend the EU–Israel Association Agreement has surpassed one million signatures, meeting the threshold required to formally trigger a review by the European Commission. Launched in January under the campaign “Justice for Palestine,” the petition has also crossed national signature thresholds in at least 10 EU member states, well above the minimum needed for validation, making it one of the fastest initiatives to do so.

Organizers and backers, including the European Left Alliance, are urging the EU to suspend the agreement over alleged violations of international law and human rights, arguing that continued economic ties undermine the bloc’s stated principles. While the Commission is now obligated to examine the proposal, it is not required to act on it, despite mounting public pressure and the EU’s status as Israel’s largest trading partner, with goods trade reaching €42.6 billion in 2024.

The central kitchen operated by Saudi Arabia's King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) distributed 29,000 hot meals to the most vulnerable families in central and southern Gaza Strip, as part of the Saudi public campaign to provide relief to the Palestinian people, reported the Saudi Press Agency on Wednesday.

This initiative demonstrates the Kingdom’s dedication, through KSrelief, to supporting the Palestinian people in times of crisis.

On Monday, KSrelief distributed 1,196 food baskets to the most vulnerable groups in Gaza's city of Khan Younis, benefiting 7,176 individuals.

Only real realistic weapon, short term at least, is for Palestinians to continue to grow in numbers - already outnumbering all Israeli Jews, and remaining steadfast in their own land. The Apartheid regime of Israel will eventually collapse on its own and Palestinians will become a political majority as well.

At one point in time the world (entirety of it, US included - once the current generation dies off and the younger ones gain power) will treat Israel as what it is - a terrorist Apartheid state, so they will be forced to stop their insanity. No need for any nukes or all out wars IMO. Like any evil regime - they will either collapse, be defeated or be forced to reform. Palestine is the last outpost of apartheid and colonialism in the world. No matter the Jewish global influence - this cannot go on forever. So in that sense I do not worry but it is unfortunate that it had to come to this point and that events in the past 80-100 years (in fact past 150 years) had to occur but that is human history in a nutshell in many ways. Unfortunately.

@RescueRanger, the solution to our problem
