Nope. Hamas Al Qassam Brigades got to him beyond the yellow line.
You wanted to discredit them immediately because they aren't afraid like Hezbollah is to target Israeli interests and the IDF itself inside Gaza.
Especially since US and Israel refuse to move to phase 2. They refuse to allow reconstruction of anything in Gaza. They refuse to allow an international force. Refused an Israeli withdrawal. And Netanyahu yesterday made more threats against Gaza.

Israeli media: The Qassam Brigades succeeded a few days ago in deceiving Israeli intelligence agencies by having a group of its fighters pretend to be anti-Hamas elements, and joining the ranks of the Yasser Abu Shabab group, which allowed the Qassam to carry out a military ambush and kill Abu Shabab and his group.

Some are circulating the possibility that Abu Shabab was eliminated by the occupation or internal disputes, and the contradictory narratives published by the Zionist media helped in that.
Hamas did not clearly claim the operation but was content to praise it, with a hint of endorsement coming from "Rad'" of its security wing.
Rule out that the occupation or its agents had anything to do with the killing because they invested in Abu Shabab and their bet on him is significant, and his elimination is a crushing blow to their project (and may ultimately destroy it), so they are not fools to risk that or allow internal disputes to do so.
Look at how the occupation controls the Authority in the West Bank and did not allow Fatah's internal disputes to surface, and they smoothly transferred power to Hussein al-Sheikh despite him being a fragile and shaky figure, for the occupation does not allow internal disputes among its agents' ranks to develop into bloody conflict because that would serve the resistance, and Abu Shabab's gangs were placed on shaky foundations without his elimination.
As for Hamas not clearly claiming the operation, it seems they want to save the mediators' face and not give the occupation a pretext to resume aggression.

Yasser Abu Shabaab militia and Israel put out fake statements attributing it to a family claiming they killed Abu Shabaab while he was raiding their home in eastern Rafah
He is definitely not participating in any raids rather hiding in protected locations where the IDF is.
Hamas is there and preparing many ambushes under and over the IDF.
Slowly the Israeli Nazi forces will be pushed out of Gaza. Hamas is not pulling the trigger too often to keep stability for the people of Gaza. Rather once every couple weeks or so it targets IDF forces and their agents like Abu Shabaab.
Hezbollah can do that and is in a much better position to do that but they're too scared and hoping Israel stays busy in Gaza instead of helping Gaza by making Israel's job in Lebanon tougher.

Calling the Abu Shabab gang "anti-Hamas" is a dangerous misnomer!
Those Israeli proxy groups where NEVER created to challenge Hamas; 300 untrained criminals & collaborators are no match to Hamas' 25,000 militants
Israel created those gangs for 4 reasons:
1- Loot aid & blame Gazans (UN memos explicitly named Abu Shabab as the main actor behind looting aid under FULL IDF protection).
2- Carry out dirty missions too dangerous for Israeli soldiers (e.g. collecting intelligence, assassinations on the ground, kidnapping & interrogating Gazans, sweeping areas before Israeli troops advance...)
3- Run Israel's concentration camp in Rafah & lure Gazans to move in there en masse. Israel understood if the IDF calls on people to move into that camp, everyone would know it's a trap. But if Israel gets a Palestinian wearing an official uniform decorated with the Palestinian flag to call on people to move into that area, some might fall for it (eventually, only a few dozens answered Abu Shabab's call & moved into his camp).
4- Propaganda campaigns: Israel has been regularly marketing the Abu Shabab camp as proof of its "benevolence & mercy" in Gaza & that its genocide worked to convince some Gazans to become "deradicalized & accept coexistence".

From the reports it was in house cleaning his own clan got tired of being considered collaborators he got shot and they beat him to death it’s like I said one thing all Palestinians agree on no matter what faction is from we all hate collaborators more than anything Hamas would have killed him sooner or later but his clan did the job for them and they earned the respect of Hamas and won’t feel retribution because of it

Hamas does not care about attaining online clout
Gaza is trying to survive
Hamas military wing has not released any statements since ceasefire except about release of bodies of Israeli soldiers
Hamas has to be careful over next few years and has a massive challenge ahead of them when US/Israel try disarming Gaza and corrupting the culture/remove Islam from society's teachings
