Hamas did not prevent normalization.
It's beyond Hamas and Gaza's control.
These nations decide what's best in their interests.
What the war in Gaza did is show what Abraham Accords was truly about. Which was to gain a footing in the region to encircle/weaken major regional powers like Turkey + Saudi Arabia + Iran + Egypt
Saudi Arabia was one of first that saw this whole Abraham Accords as a sham which is why it never got onboard
The Gaza war sped things up, led in directly to fall of Assad, weakening of Hezbollah, attack on Iran, Israeli incursions into Syria, Somailand, Saudi campaign against UAE in Yemen, etc. ...
But Gaza and Hamas do not have any control of these nations or these events. They didn't cause them.
Netanyahu is also overconfident in thinking he can change 'face of region'. He can't.
Gaza survived, West Bank is there. Israel lost some familiar faces in the region. A Turkey - Egypt - Saudi alliance of interests is emerging.
Israel doesn't believe Arabs will become a true ally to it so it's banking on Iranian regime falling and pro-Israel opposition takeover of Iran
The leaders of region is not Gaza by far. Nor Hamas.
The powers in region are there and a new Middle East is shaping up. Not the one Netanyahu and Israel had hoped for.
What you think ?
