Iran is in trouble if Israel jumps in as US current deployment looks like logistical nightmare. US prefers proxy warfare and fifth generation warfare today.
Israel on other hand just needs the munitions, maintenance, and more fuel tankers/F35 Jets. I believe Israel used F35 and F15 during their attack on Iran.
I think Israel trains more for this scenario than the US does. This is why US military option isn't best option here. When I was in Gaza over a decade ago you could see the Israeli AF doing these training exercises off the coast of Gaza and Israel. From Gaza you can see Ashkelon/Ashdod with your eyes it's pretty close.
It's possible Iran just agrees to Trump administration demands a step at a time to buy some time. Iran militarily struggled with Israel after few days missile bases in Western Iran were inoperable. They likely still had a good amount of missiles but not infinite and certainly smaller numbers of launchers.
I don't think Iran has any credible military deterrent besides against US Navy and against Saudi Arabia and Gulf nations, being able to strike their mainland with drones on a regular basis.
US may just let Israel go at it. It would make sense for the US while having US Navy as backup. Its possible Israel doesn't want to carry the weight this time around because it's costly for me and they're replenishing lots of munitions + air launched ballistic missiles and so forth.
+ They want KSA and Gulf Arabs to be on receiving end of fire to coerce them more into joining Abraham Accords and disassociating with Palestinians entirely

One could give the exact quote you posted above,that Hamas is only good at killing unarmed women and elderly. What have your supposed heroes succeeded in 2 years of war? The total destruction of Gaza,the death of hundreds of thousands of Palestinians,the extermination of the majority of their leadership and the strengthening of Israel. The Israelis are still there and strong,look at death ratio between IDF and Gazan Palestinians. Look at it. Do you actually think it was worth it? Every time your Hamas "heroes" go to war,they suffer 10 times more casualties. People pay for this with their lives or their livelihoods.
