Freed Palestinian journalist Ramez Awad, imprisoned by Israel for 24 months, says men in Negev prison “sleep hungry, sleep crying, sleep wronged.” Their bodies suffer regular beatings, and endure without medical care, clean clothes, and enough food or water, he added. Home again, he cried over a plate of rice, unable to eat while the ~9,600 prisoners he left behind are systematically tortured and starved.

Funeral ceremonies have begun for 100 martyrs after their bodies were retrieved from under the rubble of destroyed buildings in the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood of Gaza City.

They were all martyred two years ago, and most of them were children.
