So many fake news being circled by the iranians which is just unnecessary.

The UAE have taken over these islands including socotra and some nearby ones. during the Yemen civil war and not because of Israel but it was stragetically shared by UAE and KSA it was part of the effective blockade on Yemen.

Nothing could get in and out of Yemen without the UAE and KSA blessing because they took all the stragetic islands in the Bad al mandab.

Socotra which is the larger far away Island in the south is held by UAE, the more stragetic ones in the bad al-mandab strait is held by both KSA and UAE example the Island of Perim is held by KSA which is the entry door of the strait itself while Zuqar Island is held by the UAE and finally the Hanish al kabir Island is held by KSA.

Whomever holds these Islands control the strait of bad Al-Mandab the reason why they took them was in order to put yemen under effective blockade as nothing could enter and exit Yemen from air or sea the only smuggling route was thru Oman which was held by the Hadi gov´t since the blockade was sinked in very tight.

It was never due to Israel or anyone the Houthis chose this conflict and it was miscalculation on their part. They never thought this would turn into a humantarian disaster for them and blockade etc etc.
