Senior Israeli Military Official Resigns

The head of intelligence for Israel’s military, Maj. Gen. Aharon Haliva, resigned on Monday following the intelligence failures that preceded the Hamas-led attacks on Israel on Oct. 7, making him the most senior official to offer to step down in the wake of the assault, as the NYT reports.

Summary of the student uprising:
1- A student group at Columbia University decided that it would camp at the university in order to pressure the university to divest, (a group of measures related to not dealing with Israel, including financial investment and academic exchange),
2- The president of the university - Neamat Shafiq - in a historic decision summoned the police, under the false claim that he was in a violent state. Nearly 100 students from there and from Barnard University were arrested. Many students were suspended from the university and expelled from their housing (they were given 15 minutes to leave their homes).
3- More students and more universities (shown in the picture) joined in support of Columbia University students and in support of Gaza.
4- The White House denounced the imaginary violence (violence of students supporting Gaza!) and “anti-Semitism.”
4- Today, Columbia University closed its buildings and all lessons were held online.
5- Many faculty and administration members left the university and joined/supported the students. Lecturers from abroad decided to boycott Colombia in support of the students.
6- Columbia students voted in favor of divestment referendum (regarding not dealing with Israel. They were preceded by other students, including students from Harvard Law School).
Change is coming and it is on a path of no return.
Victory for Palestine.

bullfighting ...
At this stage, the armed confrontation between the resistance and the Israeli army turned into a bullfight...
One of the resistant fighters comes and hits the bull in the spine with a Yassin shell or a sniper’s bullet, and the bull becomes furious and begins to attack randomly, goring everything it finds in its path with aircraft and artillery...

The confrontation between the Palestinian resistance and the raging Zionist bull will continue until the bull gets tired and collapses on the ground....

The New York Times, according to American officials:

The tunnels will allow Hamas to survive and reconstitute itself once the fighting in Gaza stops

Between 4,000 and 5,000 fighters held out in northern Gaza

- Hamas and other armed organizations still have many forces above and below the ground

Hamas will likely remain a force in Gaza when the fighting ends

- The speed of rebuilding Hamas will depend on Israel's decisions in the following stages of the war and after it

Crushing Hamas may take years

- Israel must declare victory over Hamas and switch to a different fight targeting its senior leaders

-Israel did not and cannot destroy Hamas, but it made the possibility of a repeat of the October 7 attack remote

This is what the New York Times reported, citing Israeli and American officials.
