However, to Netanyahu's credit, Israel really doesn't have much of a choice but to eliminate the resistance in Gaza because that's what the State of Israel is: A bullying, expansionist, imperialistic entity which can only survive based on its 'deterrence' and that deterrence was greatly damaged on October 7 and so the bully has not much choice but to be a bully, regardless of who is in power unless the bully is humbled even more.
