Saudi Arabia has made strong diplomatic statements recently and to its credit has not normalised with Israel

It hasnt normalized with Israel formally and publicly, but privately, Saudi Arabia has more or less normalized with Israel- its a grey area, plus Trump exposed that Saudis tell us in public that they support a Palestinian state and will not normalize with Israel, but in private, with Western govt officials, the Saudi king was caught saying he didnt really care about Palestinians and their issues- the KSA govt just tells us via media what we want to hear, but the Saudi media lies about Israel.

Barely- its done so little for Palestinians and really doesn;t deserve the leadership position it has in the Muslim and Arab worlds.

People underestimate the military capability of NATO. The US alone can wipe out Russia or China or both combined. The reason they avoid war is because those countries can do the same in return to the US mainland. The Muslim world does not have the capability to hit back the US mainland in any significant way.

In terms of pure obliteration that's true but no one can pursue those kinds of wars - barring the Jewish state against Palestinians. The Taliban forced NATO to admit defeat.

Muslims have no interest in attacking the American mainland, it's the Americans/NATO who attack Muslims countries. In terms of defense there are Muslim countries who can defeat NATO especially after NATO defeat in Ukraine. It may not necessarily be conventional.

The problem Muslim countries face is a lack of leadership. Some will side with erdogan, others with khaminei, others with mbs, etc. If Muslims are to be considered a unified block they should have a unified vision under a unified leadership.

If we're being realistic then no Muslim country could reach the US for deterrence. And if they could the US would kill that program in its cradle. Even Pakistan's missiles program is considered a threat to the US and that program is embryotic as a threat to the US.

These things are unpredictable. 10 years ago who would have thought Trump, as a political force, was a serious possibility?

I expect it's unlikely in the near future but the world is changing rapidly. The reason I said that was to say that Muslim countries should not be compared to a block like NATO.
