in the last 15 months I have stood every Saturday for Palestine in my home town

I have been following this for decades. I remember the Oslo Accord signing on tv with Bill Clinton, Rabin and Arafat. I remember Rabin's funeral on tv. I remember the Intifadas. I remember Camp David 2000. I remember various 'mowing the grass' by Israel in Gaza. And, being well into my 50s, I remember from before the 90s.
But I don't think Palestinians are going to get a decent deal in my lifetime. They may get something even worse than Camp David 2000 especially if Netanyahu and Trump are at the helm. They came closer to gravely damaging Israel by late 2024 but then, for some inexplicable reasons to me, the northern front folded and the Fall of Assad sealed that.
