I think we're at a point where an international peace keeping force under BRICs or a UN mandate need to be forced into Gaza. The whole world can speak up and cry, but I don't think this will stop the rabid dogs in TelAviv.
Um....correct! But guess what? from an article posted on this thread within the past days, it seems US govt wants to control or lead that international peace keeping force in Gaza/ Palestine...if that happens, Israel will still have its way in Gaza and keep abusing Palestinians.

US cannot be trusted in helping Palestinians- period, and i say this respectfully and disrespecfully as a US citizen- US govt's record on being fair to Palestinians is non-existent- no wonder Russia or/ and China will be the next global players to try to "broker" a true and fair (hopefully) between the Israelis and Palestinians, we need that so badly now.

SNEAKY WEST- We first need to know what Western nations mean today when they say "we are ready to recognize a Palestinian state" - that can mean many things, and they can still have their strategic way and support Israel even if a Palestinian state is recognized.

Also, are western countries dangling recognition of a Palestinian state in front of the world so that we forget that Palestinians are also entitled to reparations? France of all countries has little money and ammunition and apparently military prowess (ask Francophone West Africa + got exhausted supplying a failed Ukraine) so we cant trust big fake promises from France at this time.

You are right: France can't do much and will not even 'table' a Resolution unless there was some tacit American approval. France and Germany couldn't even prevent a war in Ukraine, which is in their own backyard, despite knowing potentially grave consequences for them/Europe.

Also, even if the whole world 'recognizes' any new Palestinian State: Who is going to make Israel follow the law? If a 'binding' UNSC Resolution is tabled to enforce then America is likely to Veto that. And even if America abstains, who is going to make the Israelis behave? You know, as Mao said, Power Flows from the Barrel of Gun. The Israeli bully can only be tamed by violence and inflicting too much pain for it to bear.

Bolded part. I am not sure. On the contrary, there is increasing talk about holding back some of the weapons going to Israel and instead focusing on more defensive weaponry like the Iron Dome.
Consider it a cover for American crimes. A human rights gesture most possibly. The military aid to Israel from USA has always been there and non stop. These aids are emergency and the financial support is much more than that.

Iron Dome is hyped up missile system that has a success rate of almost 20 percent or maybe less against unguided and simple rockets of Hamas. But it is all they have and USA is going to strengthen its lapdog against the greater threat in Lebanon.
But you can never trust what the Americans and the Israelis say about the Middle East and part of that is because of the age old question: Is the dog wagging its tail or is it the tail wagging the dog!
So very true.

I think the real escalation will come if and when Beirut and Tel Aviv would be majorly attacked. That would indicate IF Israel was given the green light to escalate. So far, I don't think Americans want the war to escalate despite the Israeli attempts
True not because Americans are tired of genocide but the upcoming elections and the competition with Trump.

you guys see iran in your dreams and behind your curtains as well
There was a man who used to tell every one and claim that he jumped 100 feet in Kabul. He met another person who after being tired of his tall claims said "This is the Gaz and this is the maidan. now jump 100 Feet".

Same is the case with Iran. Making tall claims since the last many decades and when the time has come to fight, it says it is afraid for balance of power in Lebanon and Syria.

Don't take these Euro trolls so seriously.

Zionists and their terrorist minions esp in Syria had a plan that was foiled. Right after Israeli airstrike on Damascus, Al-Qaeda in northwest of the country launched an operation against SyAA that failed thanks to Almighty.

They planned, he planned. He SWT is the best of planners.

It is probably major strikes against Beirut and Tel Aviv which are the harbingers of the real escalation and red lines in the war between Israel+America vs Iran+Hezbollah. So far, both sides have not gone that far.
I agree with you, but all i want to add the part in bold is this- But we are presently in a unique, challenging and special time (for the region and the world), so if there is anytime that Israel will not hold itself back from starting a full blown war with Hezbollah because it struck Beirut, it might be now. A regional war has been possible for a while in the region, but it has never been as likely or risky as now. This war is a powder keg and it is naive to think that Iranian missile silos will not have to open up and let its kinetic birds fly towards Israeli or/and US destinations in the region. Israel is fatigued though, its lack of strategic depth is playing out right in front of our eyes, Iran and its allies are quite rested, and US troops are not confident and well guarded, despite how they look or project.

last I saw Iran was 1200km away from Palestine and the only people fighting Israel are either funded or armed by Iran (and only Iran)

But I don't think they are doing it out of some 'love' for the West. Whatever gets the job done to 'diversify' their economies to reduce the reliance on oil, as fast as possible, would be ANY investor's path forward.

Let's put what I am saying in a very limited and simple scenario: While there is all the talk about divestment and boycott of Israel, is it even possible to significantly remove the reliance on companies/technologies/businesses where Israel doesn't benefit somehow? No, I don't think so. We can boycott Coca Cola or KFC but the next edible will eventually benefit those same corps who benefit 'the West' and even Israel. And actually, Israel does the same--indirectly puts $$ into the pockets of those, such as Qatar or even Iran, who fund the Palestinian resistance. These are the inevitable results of 'globalization'. We often hug those whom we want to kill.

Having said that, it is vulgar for Saudi Arabia to buy billions in weaponry which they can't use against anyone except the poor Houthis. It is vulgar for MBS to buy a $400+ million artwork.
Actually west is the worst possible place for long term investment or any. Arabs sheiks are just not free to distance to much from their masters in west and that is whole truth.

The UN not reacting much to Israel killing over 100 UN workers in Gaza recently removed any fear in Israel about killing UN workers. It let us know who really controls the UN. smfh.
