Worldwide perception of the entity now is quite similar to Apartheid S Africa in the 1980s now.

Remember the US and UK always had to be dragged kicking and screaming to finally get in line with the rest of the world over S Africa.

Israel won't have security as long as the Palestinians don't have security..
The region won't have peace and security until there is a Palestinian state..after which the whole region will benefit..

Israel vs South Africa comparison, at this point of global political evolution, is far fetched.
South Africa's white minority had nowhere near the influence the Israelis have and South African white minority didn't speak English like the Israelis do. The South African white didn't have Spielbergs making globally watched, influential movies promoting the Israeli propaganda. The South African white minority didn't have 20% of American population supporting them over some 'Rapture' nor did they embed themselves in a symbiotic relationship of money making with the Military Industrial Complex. The South African white minority faced significant challenges from the African Americans who form almost as powerful a political platform as AIPAC or Evangelical Christians. And so on on...

And what I am saying here is also understood by the Israelis but they are counting on totally crushing the Gazans because, as we all know, the world moves on when a war ends and the victors not only get to write the history but also gain the legitimacy. So that's the Israeli game plan: A total victory in Gaza at the minimum for various reasons. Can the Israelis have that? I don't know. But if they conquer and subjugate Gaza then, I am afraid, at least for the next several decades, the Palestinian Cause is over. The students would move on. Life goes on. The victors collect the spoils of wars in every sense of the word.

Gaza should be armed and never allowed to capitulate!!
