They have been reporting this after that initial leeway they gave Israel only ones that are still backing Israel’s point of view is Fox News and whatever Rupert Murdoch owns and online right wing “media” cbs cnn nbc and abc mostly are talking about the catastrophe that is going on
It’s more mixed. Another thing I heard walking around Columbia was that one person said, both sides should go away. The issue is most Americans don’t care enough to disrupt their lives for people in other countries. Until it affects their lives, they have the freedom to ignore it.

Here is real and recent polling data:

I never support genociders.
There is a genocide in Gaza and you are supporting the party that’s committing it as we speak. You can’t have it both ways. You support the actions of Israel and they are committing genocide.
Killing people waiting for food supplies. Putting children’s arms in handcuffs then shooting them - depositing their bodies in mass graves - collectively punishing a whole nation? What do you call this?

Half of Gaza’s population are children. What do they have to live for, especially those that have lost their parents. Contemplating suicide now, and if they see no hope in the future, I assume for a non-insignificant portion it will be the desire to avenge their lost family. Those traumatized to the point that they don’t feel like they have a life worth living, …

There is also the risk of secondary expose. Those severely traumatized just watching this news coming out of Gaza, living in the neighboring countries, …, and possibly numbering in the tens of millions.

All good to say, but the Palestinians saw this story with the Oslo Accords. Palestinians won’t be fooled by the fine print again.

At a minimum the humanitarian crisis in Gaza has to be ended, or else once the hot weather sets in and large numbers of death from preventable illnesses start occurring, and you will have more deaths from disease then the bombing, equally if it more preventable it can be said.

Anarchy in the region will scare off investors and the Saudis can kiss the prospects for economic diversification (which they have accurately deduced that they need) and Vision 2030, goodbye. Just look at the Houthis and the effect on the Red Sea, and the proxies groups operating in Iraq and Syria. Iran could disrupt any settlement unless the Palestinian people can be genuinely brought on board. No chance getting around them this time, with Jared Kushner’s much vaunted “Abraham Accords”.

You don't seem to understand that Saudi Arabia wants to fix the Palestinian problem with a two states solution once and for all or you are just pretending..

I’m saying safeguards need to be in place. The Israelis are not in the mindset to be partners for peace. The Saudis need to use their leverage with the US to force a solution, on clear terms that everyone can see from day one. Not like Oslo’s 5 year this and that.

The following video was posted Before October 7th. So a good snapshot of the status quo before the current genocide.

That is exactly what KSA is doing..

urgent
Saudi Foreign Minister: We are close to finalizing bilateral agreements with the United States.

urgent
US Secretary of State: The agreement is close between the two countries.

The Joe Biden administration must recognize the right of the Palestinians to establish their own state. Borders 67...This solution includes reconstruction, supporting the economy and resources, and disarming the factions and militias.

Saudi Arabia is the jewel of the Arab crown. The nation's beating heart and soul... wants a two-state solution and a just and comprehensive peace that guarantees stability and prosperity for the region and ends the conflict that contributed to delayed development and lost opportunities.

Hezbollah Attacks Israeli Military Installations After Airstrikes Target Southern Lebanon

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Lebanese Hezbollah resistance forces launched a barrage of rockets and drones targeting multiple Israeli military sites, including a vital air surveillance base on Mount Meron, in retaliation for Israeli airstrikes on southern Lebanon.

Dozens of missiles struck Mount Meron, the highest summit in Israeli-occupied territory outside the Golan Heights, late Saturday night, according to videos circulating online.
But as usual, the Times of Israel and Jerusalem Post reported that all of the rockets were "either intercepted or fell in open areas," with no damage or casualties reported.
In a statement issued early Sunday, Hezbollah claimed responsibility for the strike, citing Israeli assaults on southern Lebanese villages and civilian residences as the impetus. The Lebanese resistance group stated it aimed Katyusha rockets at the "Meron settlement and surrounding settlements."
Additionally, Hezbollah disclosed launching a sophisticated assault involving explosive drones and guided missiles on the Al Manara military command headquarters and a gathering of forces from the Golani Brigade's 51st Battalion earlier that Saturday.
The Israeli air force had conducted airstrikes in Al-Quzah, Markaba, and Sarbin in southern Lebanon on Saturday, preceded by strikes in Kfarkela and Kfarchouba on Friday. These assaults resulted in the deaths of at least three individuals, with an additional 11, including Syrian nationals, sustaining injuries, as reported by Lebanese media.
Since the Israeli war on Gaza began in early October of last year, the Lebanese resistance group has repeatedly targeted the occupied territories.
On multiple occasions, Israel's crucial air surveillance post on Mount Meron was attacked. Hezbollah previously described the installation as "the sole center for administration, monitoring, and air control in the north of the usurping entity," without which the Israeli regime would have "no viable alternative."

Make sure to ask a good cross section of Palestinian society (not the PA) before the deals are made, because it will be the people that will have to live with and up to the agreements made. Unless peacekeepers are going to be deployed to keep the two populations separated, you will need the acquiescence of the regular population.

P.s. 85% of Israel’s Jewish population is said to want this war (for the sake of revenge, out of fear, and in hopes of re-establishing deterrence). This is why I say, a deal will have to be imposed upon them, they are not in any mindset to budge unless they get most of what they want, which will be close to the status quo, if they can help it.

Btw, IMHO, the only credible candidate that Palestinians and the wider world (maybe even Israel) will be willing to accept as the next Palestinian leader will be Marwan Barghouti. Back channel talks should be started with him, or at the very least he should be consulted. He is said to be respected by Hamas and the PA, and the general public.

Let’s hope this pans out well. Ironically, if it does, this will be called the Palestinians war of liberation/independence and Hamas will get much recognition amongst the Palestinian people, despite all the efforts by the Saudis and others.

Hamas, even as a political party, post conflict, will be like the ANC, an influential force for at least a generation.
