Morsi and MB made different statements in English and in Arabic were all jihadi statements on Syria, they were part of the rebellion in Syria with billions of funds received and soon their sponsors backstabbed MB. I dont know if he was good or bad but he was 100% wrong on Syrian jihad where 1000s died due to civil war. Possibly they wanted to make MB khilafat from Egypt to Syria, killing 1000s in the process.

Any idiot, especially if they are Muslims, supported the foreign backing against Assad are just that: Idiots! To me, even its early days, it was evident that this would benefit Israel which wanted to remove one more rival, after removing Saddam. I remember way back, probably in 2012, I challenged a Turkish PDF guy who was all about why Turkey should help topple Assad because he was butchering his people. I said something like 'Toppling Assad would benefit only Israel and that it was not Turkey's place to meddle in the affairs of other countries and that Turkey too has done things to its Kurdish minority'. He didn't like my response and said something like 'We Turks support you Pakistanis against India despite potentially losing trade benefits with India'. I said 'I appreciate it but your real friends would give you the best advice for your own interests'.

Netanyahu was overheard saying it was imperative that funding continued for Hamas 4 years ago because their plans aligned with what he wanted to do. Hamas played into Israeli plans

Bolded part: More like Netanyahu played into Hamas' hands! Hamas played a coy game--before October 7, gave impression to Netanyahu that Hamas was laying low and no plans to escalate and Hamas was appreciative of the extra Gazans allowed to work in Israel. Hamas and Netanyahu had unsaid agreement: Netanyahu was turning blind eye to weapons smuggling from Egypt, because that would justify his periodic 'mowing the grass' strategy. But Netanyahu didn't expect or anticipated Hamas would dig so many tunnels, import so much weaponry.
Netanyahu, as we say in Urdu language: 'DeRh Hushyaar'!! [Smart Ass]

Are they trying to save their F-35 jets from being involved against the war they plan to unleash on Lebanon? Recently, a Zionist fighter jet was targeted on the Lebanese airspace. So perhaps, they want these F-15s to be part of the initial waves of their areal attacks against Lebanon, & they expect them to be shot down.

Or perhaps the resistance's constant bombings on the Zionists' airbases have had an impact.
They are saving the F35s for Iran, Iran has been the Zion's goal all along as it stands against Israeli expansion.

Problem is the Arabs, not only do we have important relations with the surrounding Arab countries, but our economic situation means that we have very little leeway to push when their economic support is important for us.

Basically if the Arab states say no, none of us can really do anything

The Arab states want this slaughter, or wanted it, in the hope that Hamas would be destroyed and Iranian influence reduced

Iran has come out of this head and shoulders above anyone else in the middle east and that too probably burns up the Arab regimes

Iran has nothing to do with Hamas, this is Arab regimes propaganda. When Syrian war started, Hamas took the side of the rebels, in Egypt they supported MB so when Saudi Arabia couldn't make MB in to a puppet, they're declared them as terrorists and included Hamas in to it because they're independent movement. If hamas tomorrow says we love Saudi our masters and will listen to them, then everything will change.

don't talk nonsense

Hamas is not an Iranian proxy and acts according to its own agenda and interests, but it is not right to say Iran "has nothing to do" with Hamas.

every day Israel commits barbarous and unspeakable atrocities

each of these atrocities is devastating. endless recurrence of them on a daily basis is indescribable. and sadly becoming normalised.

Anger & Signs Of Rebellion Among Egyptian Troops As Sisi Remains Silent On Gaza

"We train day and night, and repeat marching chants against the Zionist enemy, and we hear dedicated newsletters bragging about how ready the military is, but when this enemy is killing thousands of our brothers, we sit idle," Omar told MEE.

Middle East Eye has met five Egyptian soldiers, including Omar, most of whom have demonstrated their dissatisfaction with the way the government is dealing with the war in Gaza and with the killing of their comrades on the border with Israel.

The young soldier considers himself and his colleagues "elite fighters" trained to withstand harsh conditions and fight sophisticated targets. His unit, he added, has been reinforced by more elite and well-trained units from the counterterrorism division in North and Central Sinai since October.

Omar lost two comrades in clashes with Israeli soldiers earlier this month, but their deaths have had little recognition by the Egyptian army, including its senior leadership and President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, he said.

Amid silence from Egyptian authorities, two soldiers from Faiyum were laid to rest in their hometowns last month after dying in clashes with Israeli forces near the Rafah border. The two soldiers have been identified as Abdallah Ramadan and Ibrahim Islam Abdelrazzaq, who were both 22 years old.
