Good post but Iran won't buy Russian planes as they are crap.

Iran is most likely going to be a customer for the upcoming Chinese J-31 fighter. Chinese aerospace technology is now up there with the west.

Let Russia and Ukraine/West bleed each other in Ukraine as making both weaker is in Muslim and generally "Global South" interests.

I don't think China will sell due to the international fallout and possible sanctions

However Russia has nothing to lose at this point, so now is the time to do some bargaining

I also believe Russia and Iran signed some sort of mutual defence treaty to defend each other in times of war

It's a Myth to conclude Russian planes are not good
The key are missiles and radars which are quite good

If the Russian planes were not good , I am sure USA would have already jumped into War in Ukraine long time ago

The technology gap is minimal that is why USA has not jumped in this conflict directly

However I do agree Russia is now on the offensive, they tried really hard to be neutral but they were forced to go into offensive
