Yes it’s a bit late, but also to show how arbitrarily Israel was imposed upon the Palestinians.

Please consider that fact as established and accepted. But how does that help anyone going forward? Claiming righteousness by any side does not help stop the conflict or a viable solution at all. After all, let us grasp that morality is a personal concept and has absolutely no role to play in international geopolitics.

That is why I went to the second reason; if morality should not convince them, then self interest should. The instability in the Middle East saw millions migrate in the 2010s and Europeans politics shift towards the right, and the ensuing shift in European laws that will have for liberal Europeans; more spending on defense, less on social services, etc.

The two state solution is not an option that is beyond the pale, but one that was seen as the common sense option 30 years ago. It should be even more so now, at least for the west, that wants to focus on bigger and more important issues. The Middle East instability bogs them down at a time when others are making inroads in industries and areas the European depend upon to maintain their economies and quality of life.

Do you honestly believe if Palestinians stopped resisting that Israel will stop killing them, demolishing their homes, and stealing their land?

What has happened to the West Bank after giving up their arms and recognizing Israel?

There would be no need to resist if Israel was not subjecting and committing crimes against the Palestinian people.

Where do these peoples allegiance lies? Time to send these rats that are infesting our nations packing.

These are tribal leaders, not unlike the Indian princes that worked under the British Raj during the time of British controlled India.

P.s. UAE’s importance oil but more so as a modern incarnation of a British trading port in the region.

Very sad that Jamaal Bowman lost. Once again shows that the Israeli Lobby is behind much of American Middle Eastern policy.
Just a few days ago, Miriam Adelson, the widow of Sheldon Adelson, announced $100 million for Trump campaign because of Trump's unambiguous support for Israel, as she even stated. This has really irked the Democrats--good! Democrats may not care about Palestine but they sure do care about their own station in the US Congress.

That's the broad I was talking about, the reason why the orange baboon scum-sucking convict pig declared Jerusalem the capital of that craphole. I just couldn't remember her damn name. Mariam Adelson who's a dual US/demon citizen and whose net worth is $31 BILLION, with a B, bro! BILLION!!!!

She's been a long-time big, scuzzy advocate of Jerusalem being a part of Israel and only Israel that she donated that $100 million to Trump's campaign in 2016 for the promise that he would declare Jerusalem the capital of Israel should he win, and the rest is history as they say.

That's the legalization of bribery and its legitimization part of this great, fee democracy that hundreds of thousands have fought and died for in countries halfway across the world. Figure that one out.

This is the other power that goes beyond lobbies like AIPAC and Jewish or zionist Americans public or political support. It's the power of their wealth which Hitler realized how dangerous it would become. He knew very well what was going to happen and if allowed, how it will fester into every single facet of life and boy was he right! Granted the way he went about taking care of it was messed up, but he made everyone aware including them, the demons and the demonic plague itself which in turn made sure they'd succeed from then on and never be put in that same position again where they would lose the ability to control everything. Wealth is more dangerous than power since you can buy power with wealth.

Marvellous George. What a legend!

How simple is the concept of resistance? It's really that simple, there will always be resistance. The justification to fight that resistance through occupation is the problem, not the resistance itself. Now if only more people would come to terms with that.

The Ugandans got lucky the British didn’t successfully impose Israel being founded in Uganda.

loool Uganda. Imagine that? They would've also resisted up until now, right? Who the hell would ever want to be pushed out of their lands and be told to accept it? No one in their right minds. Even Native Americans fought for as long as they physically could under overwhelming historical conditions they had no choice in the end. As long as the people can resist and fight, they always will just like he said. That's why there really is no amicable solution to this conflict & struggle. There might be a final solution but could never be an amicable one.

Have you ever thought - this amount of bombing on such a small land mass - what’s the chance of any hostages being found? Let’s be honest - they ain’t looking for hostages - they are ethnic cleansing the region.

You win the Internet of the day, my friend. Isn't it amazing how easy it is to see that fact yet no one within the powers that be utters a single word to the effect, with the exception of maybe Karim Khan and the ICC/ICJ and a handful of 'noticeable' political leaders who realized this guy is a psychotic demon from hell going on a full retard rampage and something needs to be done about it.

The worst part of that is how front & center he was when they killed 200 Palestinian women & children to rescue 4 hostages and he was basking in his glory flaunting front & center like the narcissistic murderous POS that he is. It was disgusting. But everyone knows he doesn't give a rat's ass about a single hostage or their well-being. How surprised were all of us when we saw the condition those hostages were? How healthy they were considering the excessive bombarding this scum-sucking lowlife has unleashed on these hapless poor people. Credit to Hamas for that since we've seen how well Palestinians hostages have been treated.

The best thing -- if we could actually see a silver lining in all of this -- is not only the unprecedented & incredible world-wide awakening to the plight and suffering of the Palestinian people that has occured, but also and especially the evil & murderous intent of this zionist entity and how scummy their people are has been exposed to the entire world, thanks to their own unabashed shamefulness and social media; they've exposed themselves for the lowly, despicable cretins that they are. Never before has the world been made so aware to this fact about these zionist scum. That's really the only good thing that's come out of this entire atrocity.

Your right, natives will resist as long as possible or assimilate into the majority. Israel doesn’t even want to assimilate the Palestinians, look how they treat Arab Israelis.

There can’t be an amicable solution, which is why, if they were smart the west would set up a two state solution as soon as possible. But perhaps this war is a lesson for the region that being at the mercy of the well wishes of the outside world is worth nothing and that they have to become self sufficient and economically self sustainable as much as possible. The Chinese have made great strides in that direction and it has changed the way they are dealt with by the west.

Should things continue as they are, 50 years, a 100 years, however long it takes, when the opportunity presents, the Palestinians and the neighboring populations will push back, possibly like Salahuddin did nearly a 1000 years ago.

If diplomats can’t find terms, the Palestinians will hold on, and keep praying for armies to come and liberate them.

It is also to be said to the European publics (because their political class don’t listen), that the Palestinians should not be paying for the sins of Europe.

I think a high percentage are actually ex-Soviet Bloc/Russian Jews...especially in the last 30 years.

Israel’s Russian Wave, Thirty Years Later

Three decades ago, a million emigres from Eastern Europe arrived in Israel, increasing its population by 20 percent almost overnight and changing its culture forever. What’s their story?

Does this donkey not realise that Netanyahu, Gallant and Gantz all originate from Eastern Europe?

The clue is in the fact they look like they are from Eastern Europe.

This clown should see an optician as his eyesight is clearly defective.

Wait, how the hell is Spain preventing India, which is in Southeast Asia from reaching Occupied Palestine all the way west through the Straits of Gibraltar? Instead of just sailing from southern tip of India to the Red Sea and up to the Port of Eilat, India is navigating all the way around Africa and through the Straits of Gibraltar and the entire Mediterranean Sea to reach Haifa just to avoid Bab El Mandab straits because of the Houthis?

Something doesn't add up there, sorry I'm calling BS on this story, especially coming from Iran Observer handle.
Did you forget what Ansar Allah has been doing to shipping going to Eilat through the Red Sea?

I agree with you that only geopolitical self-interest will be a potent motivator for anyone to actually work for an effective solution, and further agree that a two state solution is the only enduring and viable option to enable the parties to be able to live together in peace, prosperity and dignity. It is simply not a realistic hope to remove or kill any side to this conflict, no matter how they might try to justify such an approach as many seem to be insistent on in this thread: it just ain't gonna happen.

Having said that, it is clear at the moment that the consequences of not solving the problem just yet are still less than the consequences of solving it from the European point of view. How long that lasts is anybody's guess, but it might change for the better sooner than many would think.

There would be no need to resist if Israel was not subjecting and committing crimes against the Palestinian people.

Where I have said anything that suggests that Palestinians should stop resisting? They have every right to fight for their survival with all the means at their disposal. But so do the Israelis. Given the disparity of resources each side has at its disposal, the asymmetric casualties and suffering are a logical byproduct of that situation.

A bit late for that remedy, surely? Going back in history is not exactly feasible without the invention of a time machine, so how do we all go forward with a solution given the realties of today and the present conflict?

What do we do? We all come to the realization that there will never be a solution to this conflict that will be amicable to all parties. I think that the sooner everyone realizes this, the sooner we can end all the debating and just either go with the flow, or keep the status quo. Simple as that.

You and I and every single other person on this planet knows that neither side will ever accept defeat, nor will be willing to live side-by-side in a two-state solution. Let's not kid ourselves any more that will NEVER happen since the concept itself will be too restrictive to one party and we all know who that party will most likely be as a result of an agreed 2-state solution.

It's either the zionist destroy the Palestinians in infinitum and totally wipe them off the face of the earth so they won't have to deal with sharing their stolen land with anyone anymore or...........the Palestinians find a miracle and defeat the zionist which we all know is the literal definition of 'impossibility' as long as the United States holds all the cards of world dominance.

The status quo will continue forever since neither of the above solutions will ever work. The sooner we ALL come to terms with those hard facts, the sooner a decision can be made to move forward but those facts have to be reconciled with first before moving forward.

All I can say is that "never say never" is a good rule for international geopolitics.

This could easily be the exception to that rule.

I doubt it, since the rules of international geopolitics have been universal and constant throughout human history, and there is absolutely no evidence to suggest that that is about to change in the foreseeable future, present conflict included.
