They are conducting preemptive strikes against concentrations of Israeli forces. The latest strike was on Moshav Ya'ara in northern Israel, resulting in multiple direct hits.

Israeli forces were assembling at: 33.06836, 35.18535 and 33.06716, 35.17984.

I was referring to tactical success.

Honestly, there should be a clear standard if people are truly being honest about their views and following humanity.

What I’ve observed is that some celebrated when Hamas killed Israelis last year, but those same individuals were quick to criticize Israel when it retaliated against Hamas. During that time, many innocent Palestinians were also killed by Israel.

Ideally, people should have condemned the killing of innocent Israelis, and then also condemned the killing of innocent Palestinians by Israel. However, that balanced criticism never seemed to happen here

What has been happening between Israel and Palestine shows that attacking innocent Israeli civilians has never been a solution. The relationship between these two sides has been marred by a series of blunders and miscalculations made by both parties over the years. The critical difference, however, is that Israel has benefited because it has won the wars.

Despite this, there is broad agreement that Palestinians deserve their rights and should have an independent state of their own.

Your sentiments are correct but I think it is hard to make a moral equivalences: Before October 2023, Israel had already killed hundreds of Palestinians in 2022/2023 alone and displaced many, uprooting their trees, demolishing houses, expanding settlements. The goal was either to expel the Palestinians or make them accept a permanently subjugated people. Hard for the Palestinians to be not brutalized and try to pay back Israel in kind--which they did.
As for the 7 October 2023 attack: I consider that act of Resistance. True, there were some rogue elements who also crossed over and killed civilians but I don't think that was Hamas' motive: Their motive was to take as many civilian hostages as possible and kill as many soldiers as possible. Most of the killing that day was done by IDF itself.
As for this forum, well, it is a defense forum and even normal people are enraged against Israel for many years. But I don't see widespread approval of killing civilians despite the rage. In contrast, if you study the Israeli blogspace or even the statements of their high officials, they mean to be in Amalek mode and they have indeed been!
