Iran has a plan to bomb all runways of bases around it that NATO jets take off from, before the jets take off or run multiple sorties using those base runways. Iran even taunted US by saying its bases in the region are even less defended than Israeli bases(ouch).

If Iran attacks US bases it will be Rosh Hashana in Israel and all the crazy Jews will be dancing. Pearl Harbor was the US excuse to jump into WW2. Attacks on US bases will convince the US public to support an all out US attack on Iran.
