Which is why US has asked Israel to accept a "security and political support package" from the US in place of a strike on Iran- US knows what traps Israel will run into while attempting a strike on Iran.

Interesting point. At least one major Israeli site reporting for last 1-2 days that America is willing to 'compensate' Israel if Israel chooses not to target something which would invoke a catastrophic response from Iran.
From Day One, America didn't want a regional war! I had known that on right after October 7, 2023 otherwise the posturing and the rhetoric would be different.

Attack on Iran will be held off to just before the election to boost democrats votes.

Hah?? Totally opposite: It doesn't suit the Biden administration at all to have a war in the Middle East before the elections. It suits Trump and Netanyahu but not Biden--well, he is a lame duck anyway--but certainly doesn't suit Kamala Harris.
Did anyone notice that how even Biden sidestepped the question about Netanyahu wanting to prolong/escalate to influence the American elections?? That was most telling!!

Either UN forces do their job or it should get out. Being human shields for Israel is not good.
