Hardline Israeli Minister of Finance Bezalel Smotrich has drawn criticism for calling for Israel to expand its borders to Damascus in a recent documentary.

In an interview for the documentary, In Israel: Ministers of Chaos, produced by European public service channel, Arte, Smotrich claimed that Israel would expand “little by little” and eventually encompass all Palestinian territories as well as Jordan, Lebanon, Egypt, Syria, Iraq, and Saudi Arabia.

Big investors 'abandon' Israeli real estate sector: Globes

Investors who purchase substantial numbers of apartments in the Israeli-occupied territories are "abandoning" the Israeli real estate market, according to a survey conducted by the Israeli Ministry of Finance's chief economist.

Previously, such investors made up the majority of those purchasing settlement units and apartments, however, in August they made up only 33% of all investors who made such transactions.

Reviews conducted by the ministry’s chief economist and the Israeli Central Bureau of Statistics found that real estate deals fell by 16% this month. Moreover, the chief economist said that 1,200 apartments were bought in the past year every month, a figure that amounts to half of the monthly number of apartments bought on average in 2021, underlining the severity of the crisis.

In February this year “heavy investors” had a 72% share of the market, however, the number dropped to 35% in August.

Israeli news website Globes explained that the drop could be attributed to “uncertainty in Israel’s economy.”

Another explanation could be that investors do not believe that apartment prices will rise due to the ongoing wars launched by the Israeli regime and their subsequent effects on the Israeli economy, according to the report.

Jared Kushner’s many conflicts of interest

Jared Kushner went from senior advisor in charge of managing Middle East peace during the Trump administration to managing a firm in charge of investing three billion dollars from sovereign wealth funds in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Qatar.

In April the New York Times reported that Kushner’s investment firm Affinity Partners, which has raised $3 billion from foreign investors, has invested more than $1.2 billion. As the company makes more investments, many overseas, it raises ethical issues and potential conflicts of interest as Kushner’s father-in-law Donald Trump runs for president.

He has taken money from government wealth funds in Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates, as well as from Terry Gou, a founder of Foxconn, the Taiwan-based electronics manufacturer, whose role in Mr. Kushner’s firm has not been previously disclosed.
In July the chair of the Senate Finance Committee, Senator Ron Wyden (Dem-OR), announced a probe into Jared Kushner’s investment firm Affinity Partners. Wyden described the conflicts of interest, counter-intelligence risks, and possible avoidance of compliance with the Foreign Agents Registration Act (see the end of this article for more details) as several Middle Eastern governments pay tens of millions of dollars in management fees to Donald Trump’s son-in-law.

The letter from Senator Wyden estimates that the Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF) alone may have paid Kushner’s firm at least $80 million in 2022 and 2023 combined ($40 million annually) in management fees, as well as additional payments covering expense reimbursements.

I have reported extensively on Saudi Arabian funding of Trump and Kushner here, the $3 billion in assets under management at Affinity Partners here, and the most recent filing from Affinity Partners here. I also wrote this story on how Jared Kushner launched the Abraham Accords Peace Institute nonprofit which is run by several executives from Affinity Partners – which adds another layer to Kushner’s conflicts of interest.

With all of the interest in Kushner and Affinity Partners, very few articles have provided a comprehensive overview of the known investments made by his firm. Following is a summary of the entities, locations and amounts of investments made by Affinity Partners, followed by additional detail on one of the most obscure deals in which Kushner invested in a firm along with his friend Adam Neumann, the former founder of WeWork.

Senator Wyden’s letter noted the “appearance that Affinity’s investors are motivated not by commercial interests of seeking a return on investment, but rather by strategic considerations of foreign nationals seeking to funnel money to U.S. individuals with personal connections to former President Trump.”

The list below of investments made by Affinity Partners includes at least two companies – Unybrands and QXO – that lost value shortly after Affinity invested in them. While the return on investment for Affinity Partner’s foreign investors is not known, the investors in Affinity Partners and the investments made by Affinity Partners should be monitored closely as foreign governments funnel money to Kushner with the potential goal of using this relationship to influence his father-in-law Trump, the de facto leader of the GOP.

Affinity Partner investment deals

Following are the deals that Jared Kushner’s firm Affinity Partners has invested in with links to source documents.

  • Mosaic (California, U.S.) – co-led $200 million investment: The first big investment deal for Jared Kushner’s Affinity partners, reported by Axios, was an agreement to co-lead a $200 million funding round in a California-based fintech company called Mosaic. Axios noted it was surprising that the first deal for Affinity was in California and not in Israel, which had been reported by the Wall Street Journal as a priority for the firm. I had noted here that Thrive Capital run by Jared’s brother Joshua, had been part of a 2020 funding round for Mosaic.
  • EGYM GmbH (Munich, Germany) – led $225 million investment: An article in TechCrunch last year reported that Affinity Partners led the investment of $225 million in a Munich-based smart fitness startup EGYM which planned to do an initial public offering.
  • Shlomo Group Auto and Credit Operations (Israel) – $110 million: Calcalist reported Affinity invested $110 million to acquire 15% of Shlomo Group’s auto and credit operations and the money was intended to expand their automotive and credit operations to countries in the Middle East and North Africa. They noted an interesting item — that Shlomo was granting Affinity a loan of almost $50 million to finance the $110 million deal. The New York Times reported that “Kushner’s business partner in the car-leasing firm is part owner of Israel’s only domestic builder of warships, putting him in business with executives who are also major shareholders in an Israeli military contractor whose vessels have been used in the war in Gaza, armed with American-made weapons.”

Dispatching Troops to Israel, US Sets Stage for Direct Participation in Middle East War

While US military personnel have covertly assisted Israel’s operation in the Gaza Strip over the last year, the Biden administration signaled an open commitment of troops to the country today in a statement released by the Pentagon.

The US and its European client states are doubling down on their support for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in the waning days of the Biden administration, setting the stage for Western militaries to directly participate in Israeli atrocities or even a broader regional conflagration.

A series of events in recent days has demonstrated NATO countries’ deepening commitment to Israel as new UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer leads the way.

“US special forces flights to Israel from a British airbase have doubled in frequency since Keir Starmer took over from Rishi Sunak as prime minister,” reported the website Declassified UK recently.

“It has… previously been revealed that the US is using Akrotiri to deliver weapons to Israel,” the investigative reporting outlet continued, referring to the UK’s large airbase in Cyprus. “The UK government has long refused to give any details of US use of British territory to support the Israeli assault on Gaza.”

Starmer has been heavily criticized for alleged weaponization of claims of antisemitism during his tenure as leader of the UK Labour Party. After previously signaling cooperation with former leader Jeremy Corbyn and his supporters, Starmer ultimately expelled Corbyn from Labour and purged pro-Corbyn candidates and party members. A damning report released in 2022 revealed that a manufactured antisemitism crisis within the party was used to undermine Corbyn, who is a prominent anti-imperialist and supporter of the Palestinian cause.

The former Czechoslovak government concluded Starmer was a likely Western intelligence asset in an internal report written in the 1980s. Former Central Intelligence Agency director Mike Pompeo suggested in 2019 that the United States would work to prevent Corbyn’s election as British prime minister, paving the way for Starmer to fill the role instead. The arch Zionist and likely intelligence asset’s approval rating as prime minister now stands at only 26% according to recent polling.

“In November 2023, a US military official revealed that American special forces were stationed in Israel and actively helping the Israelis,’” noted journalist Matt Kennard.
While US military personnel have assisted Israel’s operation in the Gaza Strip over the last year, the Biden administration signaled an open commitment of US troops in the country today in a statement released by the Pentagon.

“At the direction of the President, [US Defense] Secretary [Lloyd] Austin authorized the deployment of a Terminal High-Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) battery and associated crew of U.S. military personnel to Israel to help bolster Israel’s air defenses," said press secretary Maj. Gen. Patrick S. Ryder, claiming the move was intended to safeguard the country’s military installations after Iran’s retaliatory attack earlier this month.

It is thought that some 100 US troops would be dispatched to Israel to operate the THAAD system. Observers warn the open commitment of personnel could serve as a casus belli to send troops to fight with Israel if a US service member is injured or killed in a strike on an Israeli military target.

The official death toll in Gaza stands at almost 43,000, but a study in the respected British medical journal The Lancet claimed it will ultimately approach 200,000 as Palestinians cope with mass hunger, malnutrition and lack of medical care.
The International Criminal Court (ICC) has sought the arrest of Netanyahu and Israeli defense minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes, while the International Court of Justice (ICJ) is investigating Israel on claims of a “plausible” genocide in the Gaza Strip.
The possibility of accountability for Israel’s conduct in the Palestinian territory raises the prospect of Western leaders like Starmer and US President Joe Biden being held criminally liable for their enthusiastic support for Israel, which has included the provision of arms, assistance in military planning and diplomatic cover in venues such as the United Nations.

@RescueRanger

You may recall that in the early stages of this conflict, I mentioned that U.S. forces and the Air Force are actively engaged in Gaza. Now they have chosen to make this information public.

Netayanhu ordered the US to attack Iran and the Democrats under Biden have heeded as they desperately need something to help them win in the upcoming elections as it it is neck and neck against Turmp. So before "Israel" aka US, attacks Iran they need to strengthen the defense of Israel against reprisals. Putting THAAD missiles system in the Middle East is a serious escalation by the US who have been totally unleashed by the UN and the Arabs. The Arabs believe they are being defended against Iran but are actiually being colonised. After the collapse of Iran it will only be a moment of time before Pakistan is seriously sanctioned and forced to capitulate to India's hegemony. Capitulation of Pakistan will complete the encirculation of China which will be squeezed with economic sanctions. After Russia is defeated and Putin removed from power China will be the last bastion of resistance and the last to fall to the greatest empire in Human history: the Ziono US empire.

Why are these factilities even connected to the internet? What business do they have to be connected? Shows the level of lack of security if they are connected ?
It's not connected, read about stuxnet attack in 2010 and you'll see it was not internet related attack, but someone physically accessing the system and running the virus.

If we discuss it in full, the situation is dire for the region. As an ex-IDF has recently said, the Israeli leadership is desensitized when it comes to the lives of Palestinians and Arabs.

I will not discuss this too profoundly here as the majority have a warped idea of some majestic victory coming in the Hamas and Hezbollah direction. Nothing can be further than the truth.
