While the Matthew Hoh's interview I posted above was absolutely great--he is one of the topmost authoritiies about the influence of the Israeli Lobby behind this war. Every minute was worth watching.
This video shows Greg Stoker, who is more on the tactical level of warfare, going into details about various scenarios of the ongoing Middle Eastern conflict. While his focus is on the Israel-Hezbollah/Gaza conflict, he, using his own experience as part of the American force in Afghanistan says this (after minute 9, I think): The Pakistani ISI used the Haqqani Network to inflict casualties on the American forces even though the Haqqanis were not really the Taliban; this assertion was repeated by an outgoing topmost American General (forgetting his name) who was said something like 'The Haqqani Network is a veritable arm of the [Pakistani] ISI'.
So why I am bringing it up: To educate the very UNinformed Non-Pakistanis here and elsewhere who think Pakistani military and the State of Pakistan is some American puppets. Most Pakistani members on PDF are peddling utter lies about the Pakistani military because their favorite political leader is not in power anymore. Pakistan is no Egypt or Jordan or Saudi Arabia or UAE: Pakistan, within its dire constraints, would and did even bleed the Americans to the point of a humiliating defeat in Afghanistan.

Anyway, here is the video of Greg Stoker:

I am sometimes amazed by this that Americans despite their military might did not go on an offensive against the ISI, which would have been their response if some other country say Iraq, or Syria had been been involved in brazenly killing their soldiers. There needs to be a thorough study on this topic. They acknowledge that ISI was a catalyst to their defeat in Afghanistan, but we see little action from their side. (Ignoring the fact that a major portion of our armed forces has been compromised from top to bottom 🥲)

Most of the Soviet satellite states were culturally destroyed by communist savages such as Lenin.

Let me tell you a story,

My grandfather lived in Baku for a short period of time with his older brother and his family, since his older brother was an Islamic scholar, they had to escape to Iran during Qajar rule to avoid getting butchered by communist savages of Soviets, for a reason that i will explain.

My father says, during that short period of time when your grandfather was in Baku as a pupil, once at school, teachers told the Muslim students, ask your Allah to throw chocolates into this classroom from the same sky that you Muslims raise your hands to and ask him, Students did that and nothing happens, the teacher once again asks students to repeat with him, O Lenin! give us chocolates, and all of a sudden tens of chocolates were thrown into classroom through the windows.

My father says, when your grandfather returned to his brother, told him Allah is a lie and does not exist. Our teachers said that Lenin is the existing God of our people and he gave us delicious chocolates.

And that was when my grandfather was a 8 or 9 years old pupil.

That was how Soviet's ideological agents brainwashed Muslim children and removed religion from their minds.

After that, my great uncle barred my grandfather from attending communist schools and he himself taught him Quran and educates him how to read and write in Arabic and Russian languages. The communist agents, so called teachers, found out that my grandfather was absent and avoids school. They looked for him and brought him back to school. During one of ideological brainwashing of communist agents, my grandfather starts defying communism and insists on teachings of my grand uncle and it gives communists a clue that he might be taught by a Islamic scholar. They ask him, who told you these words? And he replies, my brother.

Fortunately, my grandfather when he finishes school and wants to return to home, he accidentally hears from communist agents that his older brother is identified and he will be arrested and executed for doing Tableegh. He runs to his brother and informs him of the imminent threat, that was when my grand uncle decides to escape to Iran with his family. A couple of his Muslim Students helped him to escape and leave Baku to Iran.

Long story short, communists fought Islam in Islamic lands for years and its consequences still remains even today.

The commies and their ideological bootlickers are still like that in all muslim countries, though theyre minorities today.

While i dont like a lot of US foreign policy, i still fullt support the great US achievment of crushing communist Soviet.

Russians are more racist, barbaric and self centered than any of the western european nations or the US.

Well, we may be going offtopic here but Americans never thought Pakistan a strategic rival. Never. If anything, Pakistan is a good 'tool' to keep India in check. But Pakistan, unlike those countries I mentioned above, is a much more sovereign country to the point of literally bleeding the Americans in Afghanistan from 2001 till 2021. That was under various civil and military leaderships.
However, I take strong exception to those PDF Pakistanis who, in their attempt to support their political leader, have been presenting the entire state of Pakistan as some American puppets. They are even posting out of context reports in this thread about Pakistan's support for the Palestinians, implying that the Pakistani military is in bed with the American to target the Palestinians. Nothing can be further from the truth. But these cultist people--no doubt infiltrated by Indians--are everywhere in the blogspace.
The fact is that Pakistan bled the Americans for 20 years in Afghanistan. Pakistan's internal security got destroyed. Pakistan's image got destroyed but Pakistan stuck to its strategic doctrine. And even as I write this, all the American pressure to distance Pakistan from China is failing and who knows, in the context of this Israel-Palestine conflict, what has Pakistan up its sleeve to help the Palestinians/Iranians/Chinese??

So given that we are considered more of a tool to the Americans, what is in store for us after the need for this tool is up? What if they succeed at distancing Pakistan from China, essentially severing the one major ally of Pakistan? Do they come for us next? Because I do not see Pakistan serving a purpose on a global or even a regional scale in the ongoing or the next decade. The constant targeting of Chinese scientists and engineers in Pakistan using the BLF terror group, giving rise to the ethnocentric BS in multiple provinces at once and shockingly quick in recent times all point to the same thing. We are being isolated as the Indian butcher had said some years ago. May Allah give ghairat to our military and political leadership and give power to more loyal people.

Offtopic.
Short answer: Pakistan's strategic importance is only increasing as the Israel-Arab-Iran conflicts further heats up. That's all I am going to say at this point.
