I don't know what happened but apparently this is sooooo important that the newspaper of record like NY Times is giving it prominence on its front page. IMO, ground is being prepared for something big--even worse--then what we have seen so far. Yes, as Mehdi Hassan said, things could be even worse under a Trump presidency.

First there was intense speculation that Iran was ‘going to strike soon’.. NYT was all over it.

Now this. I honestly don’t know any more what true and what’s disinformation.

But I do remember that the entire Gulf war was built on a lie - and the lie was presented as evidence that in the UN by Colin Powell.

The drums of war are beating.

The ground is being prepared for a major war. It was not for nothing that Netanyahu wanted a Trump Presidency and it was not a coincidence that a 'record' number of American Jews voted for Trump. Now one can only hope that the Pentagon is going to put some brakes on this ideologically upcoming VERY pro Israel administration!! And the only reason the Pentagon would do so would be because Americans are in not in a good position to attack Iran. IMO, Iran and its allies have the upper hand in this conflict!

Because you spoke of the Gulf War 2003, here is a relevant video where Col. Larry Wilkerson is regretting being with Colin Powell in the UN to support the attack on Iraq; he considered that his biggest mistake of life--at least on professional level.

If they showed their ugly head in any European capital that is what would happen to them, everywhere, other than US and British media the whole world hates the Israelis for what they are doing to the Palestinians.
