I will be shocked if Hezbollah accepts a ceasefire while the carnage in Gaza is allowed. Why would Hezbollah do that after it was Hezbollah which unilaterally attacked Israel after October 7, 2023? Why would Hezbollah do that after there are thousands of deaths, decapitations of leadership, and destruction in Lebanon?
If you go to a major Israeli site (JPost or Times of Israel), the number one hot news is Israelis think that southern Lebanon belongs to Israel. And Hezbollah is the only force preventing Israel from taking over that fertile land. Are the Lebanese that divided to not see the real threat facing them??!!

They know a truce is short lived and they want political gains.

The Israelis would have to go through Jordan, which means declaring war on 2 nations automatically. They would also have to spend so many resources into this invasion that it would leave their northern border, as well as their holdings in Gaza and the West Bank nearly defenseless.

It would be a disaster for the Israelis.

Also, unlike Palestine, KSA actually has influence.
