I will say this: we need to separate the history of the past and post-Ottoman Empire, as what was at play then and now differs. There were issues between both sides, but allying with a foreign power to cut off your nose to spite your face did more harm to the Arabs over time than any good; by burning their house down to hurt the Ottomans, they burned their own.
As the old saying goes, "You don't know how good you have it until it's gone" can be applied here.
The issue we face in the region and our nation is that we have educated intellectual deficiency, meaning you are educated but not thoroughly equipped with the proper information and tools. Had these Arabs and leaders and our own been well brought up, many of these situations we find ourselves in could have been avoided.
But Turkey, playing the role it has, has cut its nose too in the process.
However, I will say this: Brother @Unknowntruth is also correct; not all Arabs betrayed the Ottomans. The Ottomans were sick men of Europe and the Middle East. They failed to innovate and expand education to the locals, and only the nobility received the best. Europe, right next door over the pond, was expanding and researching, but the Ottomans failed to reciprocate and signed their death warrant.

More than 4,000 amputations and 2,000 cases of spinal and brain injuries have been recorded in Gaza since the start of the Israeli offensive last year, Anadolu Agency reports.
Mohammad Abu Salmiya, Director of Al-Shifa Medical Complex, stated that “the majority of those who have lost limbs are children.”
“More than 4,000 people have had their upper or lower limbs amputated since the beginning of the genocide,” he said.
He added that over 2,000 people with spinal and brain injuries are now bedridden and in urgent need of rehabilitation.
Thousands more have suffered hearing and vision impairments due to the relentless bombardments, he added.
“The health system in Gaza lies in ruins, with no medical care or facilities available. The sole rehabilitation hospital, Hamad Hospital, and Gaza’s prosthetics centre have been completely destroyed,” said the official.

Nearly one million displaced Palestinians in Gaza are at risk from extreme cold and rain this winter, the UN agency for Palestine refugees (UNRWA) has warned, Anadolu reports.
“Displaced people in Gaza need protection from the rain and cold. Only around 23 per cent of this need has been met, leaving 945,000 people at risk of exposure this winter,” the UN agency said in a statement. “Aid is urgently required to address the overwhelming needs as the crisis deepens.”
UNRWA said that Palestinian civilians in the central city of Deir al-Balah and across the enclave “search through the rubble of their destroyed homes, trying to salvage what little remains after an Israeli airstrike.”
“As strikes continue, civilian casualties rise, and homes and vital infrastructure are reduced to ruins,” it said.

Assad wasn't doing a good job of protecting Syria or himself. Syria was attacked so many times by Israel but it didn't fire a single shot back. Good this criminal has been deposed , he was just a foolish pawn in the Zionist master plan. Let's see what Erdogan has up his sleeve and whoever replaces Erdogan. Regime change in Syria was one Erdogan's goals, waiting to see what his next step will be. I would guess Turkey would start repatriating all the refugees as that is the only thing the Turks are capable of doing.

Assad, by enabling the arming of the resistance against Israel, did a lot and it was in his own interest to weaken Israel so that Golan Heights could be retaken. He couldn't do much considering some VERY powerful forces were facing him, as borne by what happened just now.
Well, a chapter has closed and there is no question in the minds of people like Kevork Alamasian from the Syriana channel that this is the Iranian backed 'Axis of Resistance' unraveling. The ball is now in Turkey's court! Will they walk the talk?? Only time will tell but I think Israel/America will ensure the rebels kill each other and don't let Syria stabilize. Turkey is a middling power with low resources and needs the West and wants to join the West. And don't forget some Turkish PDF members, in their 'cop out' posts, had been posting about the so-called 'betrayal by the Arabs' of the Ottoman Empire--so they have their excuses lined up.

Imo only Iran, Hezbollah, and Yemen have done anything for Palestine. Assad did nothing. He did not fight Israel and did not stop weapons going to Lebanon. If being neutral is all it takes to help Palestine that is a very low bar. Being neutral is not enough to excuse the thousands of murders and tortures his regime committed.
If we pretend Israel personally sponsored and supported the rebels I would still be okay with this. There are many cases in history where a group starts as an ally and then becomes an enemy. Just like Taliban and USA, or USA love for Greta Thunberg who now goes against the Zionist media.
There is also no reason to believe the new controllers of Syria will prevent weapons to travel to Hezbollah. Iran still controls Iraq which is much better for them than when Saddam was still in power.
