What good is it to keep Bashar in power when there is no political solution to move Syria forward and to rebuild?
Hundreds of thousands of people are dead, many more have been imprisoned by his regime, economy destroyed, etc
Syria was a shell of itself. A political solution was needed and the people did not want Bashar. He was ignorant and chose not to make a deal for the better of his people.
He let weapons flow to Hezbollah but that doesn’t mean we can ignore his crimes against his own people.
Most of Syria's oil is now in the hands of the Kurds. It is unlikely that America will let these areas fall into the hands of Tahrir al-Sham or TurkeyWho is ignoring Assad's crimes and talking about crimes, are others like Turkey also blameless? They supply oil used to carry out the genocide in Gaza as everyone well knows.
That is why when Turks come here and cry their "crocodile tears" over Syria, no one takes them seriously.
Assad is bad but this was not the way to get rid of him. It only helps Zio-US control the region even tighter.
Now, I know you have formed the opinion that getting rid of Assad is the lesser of the two evils and so I will just agree to respect your decision. Maybe as a non-ME Muslim it is easier to for me to "look at the bigger picture" and I am not being sensitive enough to Assad's crimes.
Of course Syrian people turned against Assad as his oil was being stolen by US/Kurds and he was being sanctioned to death. SAA did not want to fight on an empty stomach anymore. That is their right and so it is not wholly correct to say that they just personally prefer life under the rebels than Assad.
Syria was a mess and Assad had a lot of the share of responsibility but please look at all the other bad actors like Turkey, GCC and US in what has happened to Syria.
Many countries from Saudi, Iran, Turkey, etc had their own interests in Syria. Everyone acts within their interests not that I agree with them.Who is ignoring Assad's crimes and talking about crimes, are others like Turkey also blameless? They supply oil used to carry out the genocide in Gaza as everyone well knows.

It is not about the lesser of two evils. Who am I to deny the will of the Syrian people for the sake of my own interests?Assad is bad but this was not the way to get rid of him. It only helps Zio-US control the region even tighter.
