We know what to expect from Abbas but you still have to break down their narrative for naive people to see and understand why that narrative is sinister and works to serve Israel's interests.

PLA will walk into Taiwan like they did into Hong Kong with the overwhelming majority of the local population cheering them on.

Why would they want to be a tiny isolated nation when they go back to their roots as one of the most ancient and powerful civilisations on Earth?

Taiwan will still get to run its own affairs in health/education/local government etc but will then be protected by the might of China and its foreign policy will now be in the hands of the central government in Beijing

This fake "Taiwanese" identity is a joke.

I don’t think the Taiwanese population will be cheering but most will probably passively accept it like in Hong Kong and over time, their Chinese identity will be restored again.

Mostly off topic to discuss China here but I recall, under Bill Clinton presidency, when China had shown some anger and potential threat to Taiwan, the then Sec. of State Albright had publicly threatened China! Maybe it was late 90s. Long gone are those days. But I hope you are right: No violence would be needed when it comes to China. I actually foresee China respecting the Monroe Doctrine while America eventually ceding to China the western Pacific regions and parts of Eurasian Continent; that would be another Great Power Game, as happened for millennia over the human history.

Back to the topic. While Col. Wilkerson is not as accurate/balanced as Chas Freeman, he is often very insightful and has great knowledge about the inner workings of the American security establishment. I am starting to watch this...

It's heartbreaking. Hopefully it motivates people to do everything in their paper to get the Gaza genocide recognized by all legal bodies and the general public. We have a duty and obligation to do so.
 
International media stopped covering the genocide because Israel has fully banned international media from entering Gaza. And those that were already in Gaza literally got bombed in Israeli air strikes and/or forced to dismantle their cameras by Israeli ground forces. And it spells no outrage. Yet when it comes to Syria they manufacture outrage where they can, despite Israel doing 100x worse than Assad.
