I don't think Israel controls Trump; Trump's ego controls Trump. As a second termer, this is his last chance to leave a legacy and he will be more rash: both in domestic matters such as immigration and in foreign policy areas like Israel, Ukraine and China.

Pakistan's economy is already a basket case; it can ill afford the sanctions that an ICBM test would invite. Pakistan would be far better served to test space capability, which might even bring in revenue, but it will probably also get sanctioned as an ICBM-in-disguise.
Pakistan's economy is non-existent, doubt sanctions would make any difference.. What if sanctions were imposed on Pakistan without an ICBM test? So wouldn't it better for Pakistan to proceed to strengthen its defense?

Trump plans to attack Iran to support Israel against Palestine.

Trump is led by his ego. True
Yet his legacy is based on “no wars”. Either it is Gaza or others

Of course he may be dragged to one.
Trump says I am the only president who has not start a war. He will threaten a war but is less likely to start one compared to Biden.

Even without doing anything that may upset international community, from where Pakistan will continue to borrow money for the foreseeable future remains a mystery. I just can't imagine IMF/China/Saudi/UAE financing new funds indefinitely. They may agree to rollover existing debt as it is in no one's interest to force default. But it will require a miracle to get significant new loans.

Pakistan will be kept alive as long as the US needs Pakistan as a stick to prod India.

Nobody is threatening Pakistan today. Why call attention to oneself and invite sanctions?

His previous administration pushed the Abraham Accords. There is only one country left on the planet that resists Israel and that is Iran. Trump will want to finish the job he started in his first term.

@Falcon29

I am curious about the Palestinains (descendants of people who mostly managed to stay in their original villages, towns and cities during the Nabka) that are Israeli citizens. What are they doing currently and what can they do in the future to help change the status quo? You almost don't hear about this topic anywhere. It is like they are not represented in the media despite making up almost 20% of the population. That is a significant minority. I know that there is an Arab party in Israel (United Arab List) but they only have 5 seats in the Knesset out of 120. Are there other such parties or are they divided?

I found this party as well. 1 seat in the Knesset.

I also just read about this.

In 2015 they were apparently the third largest faction in the Knesset.

Later they broke up.

I will be honest. To me it is hard to understand why there is not 1 Palestinian voice in this regard (political - individuals will always have various different opinions - it is natural) both across Gaza/West Bank and within Israel.

Would be harder for Israel to create divisions, buy off people etc.

Similarly in the US. The Palestinian community in the US and the wider Arab community should follow the Jewish examples in this regard when it comes to political organization. Beat them at their own game eventually by numbers, hard work, unity, accomplishments etc.

Unfortunately it seems to me as the same as the current sad reflections of actual politics on the ground in the Arab world and lack of unity and cooperation overall which is the root of most of our challenges and troubles if you ask me.

They are treated as second class citizens in an apartheid regime.

Better to prepare now than cry later

The major operations by the Palestinian resistance groups on Saturday, December 14, are as follows:
Al-Qassam Brigades’ operations:
  • Targeted Israeli military trucks and other military vehicles loaded with occupation soldiers near the communications junction west of Jabalia camp in the northern Gaza Strip
Al-Quds Brigades’ operations:
  • Sniped an Israeli soldier in the incursion areas south of Gaza City.
  • Targeted Ashkelon and the Gaza envelope settlements with a barrage of rockets.

I don't believe that. U.S. Government has little to do with Pakistan related money matters. IMF, though there is a strong U.S. influence there, is quite professionally managed with an international team. Obviously, nobody is interested in seeing a meltdown of a large country that may create all sorts of downstream problems. But we are seeing IMF becoming a difficult taskmaster and has turned into a micromanager of detailed decision making of Pakistan's economy.

What a people. No wonder the prophet blessed them.....

The Prophet Muhammad (saw) said many things about Yemen, including:
  • The best of men
“The best of men are the men of Yemen, belief is Yemeni and I am Yemeni”.

  • Tender of heart
“There have come the people of Yemen; they are tender of hearts, the belief is that of the Yemenites, the understanding (of the faith) is that of the Yemenites and sagacity is that of the Yemenites”.

  • Faith is Yemeni
“The people of Yemen have come to you. They are weaker in heart and softer in understanding. Faith is Yemeni and wisdom is Yemeni”.

  • Blessings on Yemen
“O Allah! Bestow Your blessings on our Sham! O Allah! Bestow Your blessings on our Yemen”.

  • Faith is there
The Prophet pointed towards Yemen with his hand and said twice, “Faith is there”.

  • Wind from Yemen
“Verily Allah would make a wind to blow from the side of the Yemen more delicate than silk”.

I believe this Israeli ceasefire is coordinated with Trump. I think they are planning a major US/Israel offensive after Trump comes into office.
Trump likes to make a big entrance on stage: his top priority on the global stage will be to make major changes in Ukraine and Iran situation.
The comical tragedy is that Turkey still believes in the delusion that it is in the driver's seat in Syria.

Quite an inciteful post!
It is an almost certainty that Israel, using America, will try to make sure no future potential threats to Israel will arise. If some some account are correct then as many as 500,000 Israeli Jews have left Israel since October 2023 and many of them won't ever go back. So Israel has to roll the dice and make hay while the star of Trump shines. It was absolutely clear to me (and you!) that Israelis wanted Trump in office to do the job for them. Woe to those stupid Muslim leaders in America who voted for Trump as a block!
