Historical fact: the US did not recognize the Rwanda genocide either, even though the CIA was saying that there was an active genocide occurring, because according to US law, the US would have to militarily and/or diplomatically have to intervene to stop it.

In other words, you cannot trust the US government when it comes to then rejecting claims of an active genocide.

Another famous case is the "Blood Telegram" sent by Archer Blood that was hushed up by Nixon and Kissinger because they didn't want to rough up Pakistan's Generals.

Jews historically voted for liberal (LPC) in Canada in the past. The LPC stronghold which was lost in a byelection this year has a heavy presence of Canadian jews and they ended up voting for conservatives. The conservatives want to keep these votes going forward by catering to canadian jews
