While negotiations continue regarding the exchange deal and ceasefire in Gaza under the auspices of mediators in Qatar,

Senior army officials explain that the ground maneuver in the Gaza Strip has reached the point of exhaustion, which requires making difficult decisions, stopping the fighting, and seeking to reach agreements with Hamas.

The officials say: “The ground operation has exhausted itself, and in the absence of an agreement, we will return to the same places where soldiers have already worked, and it will cost us dearly and lead to the deaths of more soldiers.”
