This is all happening in Beit Hanoun/Beit Layha area of northern Gaza. For those that don't know, these cities are historically subjected to heaviest bombing campaigns by Israel, and usually one of first to face a ground incursion.
The commanders of these regions prepped the local battalions to adapt to that multidimensional offensive and to be able to mount counter attacks against invading enemy forces.

This must happen to avert a even more massive humanitarian crisis in Gaza. Now we don't know if this is a ploy by Israel to get people back into northern Gaza to make it easier to kill them or if they will return after a few weeks. So don't take your foot off the gas. The ceasefire has to be internationally regulated so it can be properly implemented:
