You are right but his reign is directly dependant by usa and israel, his country is basically desert without resources and lives almost on various handouts and tourism. If there is bigger economy cooperation and solidarity among arab states he would be less exposed and could show some backbone but he knows that he is practically alone as country.

There are reports UAE is privately saying it will only attend the Arab League emergency summit on Gaza if they change the rejection statement from

"We categorically reject any displacement of Palestinians from Gaza"

to

"We categorically reject any *forced* displacement of Palestinians from Gaza"

In other words, UAE is saying it will only attend the summit if the Arab League agree not to rule out the idea of displacing Palestinians from Gaza.

There are many countries that have been in the situation instead of seeking handouts he should have been seeking investments to build up and diversify Jordan’s economy he’s had what 30 years to do this even if it was slowly rolled out 30 years is plenty of time.
