Israel’s Genocide in Gaza | 2023- till present

The operations carried out by the Palestinian resistance groups in Gaza on Thursday, January 25, are as follows:

Al-Qassam Brigades' operations:

  • A joint operation with the Mujahideen Brigades targeted a gathering of Israeli regime forces northwest of Gaza City with short-range 107mm rockets.
  • Targeted two Merkava tanks with Yassin-105 shells west of Khan Yunis city, southern Gaza Strip.
  • Published a detailed military report outlining achievements against the occupation during the past week.
Al-Quds Brigades' operations:

  • Engaged in clashes with Israeli regime soldiers and their vehicles in the west and south of Khan Yunis city with machine guns and firearms.
  • Shelled a gathering of Israeli regime forces with 60mm regular mortar shells in the west of Khan Yunis city.
  • Blew up a Merkava tank with a "Thaqqib" high-explosive device in the vicinity of Khan Yunis city.
  • Bombed the positioning of Israeli regime forces and their vehicles in the Sudanese area northwest of Gaza City, using heavy-caliber mortar shells, Badr-1 IRAM rockets, and 107mm rockets.
  • Pounded an Israeli infantry force northwest of Beit Hanoun with a guided 107mm rocket.
  • Shelled Israeli military vehicles and soldiers in the west and southwest of Khan Yunis city.
  • In a joint operation with the Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades, targeted military supply lines along the eastern line of central Gaza with rockets.
  • Targeted a gathering of Israeli soldiers and their vehicles near the military site of “Abu Safiya" east of Al-Maghazi in central Gaza.
Mujahideen Brigades' operations:

  • Targeted an Israeli military helicopter with an air-to-surface missile (SAM) in the skies of Khan Yunis city.
  • Shelled concentrations of Israeli military east of Al-Bureij with a barrage of rockets.
Al-Aqsa Brigades' operations:

  • Engaged in clashes with Israeli forces near Haifa Street and the Al-Ahmadiyyin roundabout with heavy gunfire and explosive devices.
  • Engaged in clashes with Israeli forces using firearms and appropriate weapons in the axis west of Khan Yunis.

The court isn't stupid, by linking the provisional measures to the unsc, any provisional measure could have potentially been struck down.

In reality the only order is the western order and all this is crap they use to target countries of the world



Let them destroy the concept of this made up rules based crap themselves by their own actions, so everyone can disregard it going forward

There were attempts after World War II to create a Rules Based Order. But after the Fall of Soviet Union in 1991, that Order is going away and rapidly so. The American Neo Cons thrive on wars and conflicts and with the Soviets gone, they had a free reign. The American illegal invasion of Iraq in 2003 removed any pretense of following laws. So the Russians invaded Georgia a few years later and Russia invaded Ukraine a few years ago--both illegal.

Unless humanity comes up with a new Social Contract--and do so very soon--we are all looking at another World War, global famines, economic declines, mass migrations on top of the impending Climate Change disasters.

And to get to the new Social Contract, the Neo Cons in America have to be defeated! This is what Prof. Jeffrey Sachs's approach toward a global restructuring of the way the humanity needs to work and I totally agree with him.

If the judgement was given calling for immediate ceasefire then this would put the Zionists and their supporters in a very compromised position as they would be ignoring a court that they either help set up and/or are a signatory to.

The US does not recognize either entity having jurisdiction over US matters.

The Israelis turned up because their usual pr was in taters, and this was really the only way to defend against genocide charges in terms of public opinion.

The truth is that the UN has called for a complete ceasefire multiple tines, and both the US and UK have vetoed. A court ruling on this wouldn't change anything as both the US and UK have indicated they'd ignore the court.
 
The purpose and relevance of this case is the discussion awareness and pressure this all generates.

It is clear nothing will be done from the start and this is useful to see itself, this is why the global South minus India generally are invested in this case to some part.

UK did not veto. UK abstained. UK did not say we would ignore the ICJ ruling.

Those F-35s and new weapons will not give Israel any win, because no genocider can win a genocidal war (at least not ultimately).

The Islamic Resistance Movement - Hamas welcomes the decision of the International Court of Justice in The Hague, which indicted the occupying state on charges of genocide, and demands that the occupying army protect civilians, lift the siege imposed on our people in the Gaza Strip, and respect its duties as an occupying force within the framework of international law and international humanitarian law. This decision means Stop all forms of aggression against our Palestinian people in Gaza.

We call on the international community to oblige the enemy to implement the court’s decisions and stop the ongoing “crime of genocide” against our people. We look forward to the court’s final decisions convicting the occupying state of committing the crime of “genocide,” war crimes, and crimes against humanity. The decision opens the way for enemy leaders to be held accountable for these crimes before a court. International crimes, and emphasizing the rights of our Palestinian people to self-determination, establishing their independent state, and returning to their lands and homes from which they were forcefully displaced, in line with international resolutions in particular.

We in the Hamas movement appreciate the genuine position of the Republic of South Africa, its support for our Palestinian people and the justice of its cause, its sincere endeavor to repel the aggression against the Gaza Strip, and its rejection of the brutal crimes of the occupation. Didnt Israel learn from Saudis buying $80bn of US weapons during the Obama era when KSA was fighting the houthis? Those weapons didnt give the Saudis any real win, they ended up agreeing to some negotiated "peace deal" with Iran (which influenced the Houthis) negotiated by China.

Today on @BBCnews commenting on the @cij_icj ruling.

Israel is now officially on trial for #genocide. That means all third parties that have offered material support for this genocide, including the UK and US, are on trial for complicity. Israel is not defending itself. It is defending its 76-year-old ethnic cleaning, colonial occupation and its suppression and denial of Palestinian rights. It is we, the Palestinian people under occupation, that have the right to self-defense.
