It wants to release 5 prisoners and extend the ceasefire 50 days.

Hamas wants to release a prisoner and move to the second stage.

Egypt submitted a compromise between these offers

That is the ideal to confront the US.. even nukes won't work then..Europe and Asia will get affected with the aftermath and Asia in a big way..if that happens, china might retaliate with nukes of its own..so will North Korea..

And bombing the whole Muslim world to submission won't work either.. no one on earth has that capability..

I really feel for your people! But it is not 'a few vermin': It was the might of a Superpower and its rich powerful allies plus collaborationists like the King of Jordan against a few militias. Even Israelis must know that without America they would be doomed: True, the militias won't be able to confront head on but they would bleed Israel for so many years that the Achilles Heel of Israel--its dual citizen population--would flee in large numbers.

What this reflects is America's slide into authoratianism. But the most important take away, which most people not only here but elsewhere too, perhaps with some vague mentions in NY Times: The concept of the 'Checks and Balances' so enshrined and mostly respected in America is being destroyed. Already the Congress was falling behind their party's Presidents especially after Nixon, but now there is virtually no resistance against Trump by the Republicans.
I had repeatedly said here that the personality of an American President plays an outsized role and I had said that don't blame the entire Democrats for the actions of the self-proclaimed 'Biggest Zionist in the World' Joe Biden.

Egypt will face the music for allowing arms into Gaza. Israelis just have too much on their plates already for now.
