Actually, the Arab states have made it quite hard for America to attack Iran and I presume that's for their own self-preservation. Even the King of Jordan not only refused Trump's bullying to accept the Gazans into Jordan but the King is not (at least officially) going to allow its airspace to be used to attack Iran.
It is an enormously more complicated effort to attack Iran due to the Arab resistance and that may well prevent an all out war. If Trump is sounding the least bit accommodative to Iran these days it is because of the Arab resistance playing the major role.
