THINK TANK: CONSULTANT
Many people on the right were speaking very openly between the election and up until about a month ago. It once the economic toll of Trump’s policies have started being felt, many republicans are slowly backing away from being seen as too close to Trump, knowing he has “screwed the pooch” on the visuals. The anti-Trump protest, while nascent, have started picking up some resonance with the public, especially those that have felt real effects, such as workers fired or people losing government services.Right.
Quite interesting that Saturday Night Live a few weeks ago mocked Trump for his Gaza real estate plans! You see: The 'liberals' in America are generally not too concerned with the Middle East events but they surely hate Trump admin so much that nothing he could do would be 'right'. And the conservatives in America hate the 'liberals' so much that nothing Biden could do in the Middle East would be 'right': They thought Biden was too soft on college protests and too soft against Iran and the Axis of Resistance.
America is an extremely polarized society and maybe going toward the 1850s divisions which led to the Civil War and I don't take any pleasure in saying that. You won't believe how carefully people now bring up political discussions, if they do that at all. I know that because I enjoy the nightlife multiple times a week and with libations come liberation on lips!
The only factor left is another BLM triggering event to bring it back to the ethnic activating events of a few years ago.
The harassment of immigrants, permanent residents, and even citizens of all backgrounds but especially Latinos is also seeing a shift against Trump. An badly handled incident recorded on cellphone camera is also another potential triggering moment to force a response from liberals.
So many are smart to be cautious what they say, sadly. The country is indeed very polarized. If not distracted by good economics, they we seek an outlet for the frustration through mass demonstrations, culminating in a change in the make up of congress in 2026, at least in the house.
All the while, this energy could see itself funneled in part into Palestine solidarity protests and overcome the atmosphere of fear to have mass demonstration.
And that mass of protests, will force democrats to promise things if elected back in charge of congress.
