19 year old Jewish settler liquidated in explosion in north Gaza

A Zionist Defense Ministry contractor was liquidated by an explosive device during Zionist operations in the northern Gaza Strip earlier today, the occupation announces.

The slain settler is named as David Libi, 19, from the illegal West Bank settlement outpost of Malachei Shalom.

Libi was operating heavy engineering machinery in the Jabalia area, when he was hit by a bomb planted there by Palestinian resistance fighters.

We are reportedly close to a new 60 day ceasefire in Gaza led by Witkoff's proposal:

- On the first day, 5 living hostages and 9 deceased hostages will be released.

- On the seventh day, an additional 5 living hostages and 9 deceased hostages will be released.

- President Trump will announce a ceasefire and ensure that all parties respect the agreement.

- Israel will immediately halt all offensive military operations in Gaza.

- In exchange for the release of the ten living hostages, Israel will release: 125 life-sentence prisoners and 1,111 prisoners from Gaza detained after October 7.

- In exchange for the release of the 18 deceased hostages, Israel will release 180 bodies of Gaza residents, in two phases.

- On the tenth day, Hamas will provide a complete list including a detailed medical report on the condition of the prisoners held in Gaza.

- The United States, Egypt, and Qatar will act as guarantors of the ceasefire - and Witkoff will arrive in the region to finalize the details of the agreement.

Hamas should release them all during this ceasefire and make sure it moves to a permanent one. Which I think is what will happen. No longer is there a need to hold on to them.

It appears there's no roadmap to a permanent ceasefire in this proposal.

It's Israel just needing to reformulate war plans and avoid tension with the international community.

Also give time to strengthen crime groups and delegimitize UNRWA.

I don't think Hamas should agree to this. Pressure remains on Israel to put something on the table long term.

But even if Hamas agrees. Pressure will be high on Israel if it tries resuming the genocide.

Hamas should not offer partial swaps. This is Netanyahu's way of trying to drag this war into 2026 for internal political reasons. For his coalition to survive.

He sees temporary partial ceasefire as a way to calm down global backlash and anger at the situation. And he sees it as granting him more time to attack Gaza.

Hamas should reject. Netanyahu and US will resume genocide then seek another partial deal late 2025 to keep this going into 2026.

Reject it and allow public and international pressure to grow on Israel.
