No, Russia is one of the biggest trade partners of Israel and Putin is firmly surrounded by and allied with jewish billionaires (> 80% of the Russian billionaires). Russia never protected Syria against any Israeli attack.

But the southern half of Nigeria is 10s of millions of people and are mostly Christians who are sort of like US evangelical Christians, in that the whole "Israel is the promised land for us Christians so we have to support it blindly..." logic is widespread, unfortunately. I mean, my younger Christian brother named his newborn son Israel as his middle name- my family isnt even religious so that name surprised me, but that made me know he is REALLY like those Christians from southern Nigeria, which is the part my father is from.
