The British allowed unlimited Jewish immigration to historical Palestine and also assisted them in building settlements, organizing politically and above all training Jewish militias like Stern, Haganah, Levi. At the same time, the British suppressed Palestinians and did not allow them any political freedom and certainly no organized militias or army.
The British did not "hand over" anything to the Jews as that would have created complications for the British elsewhere in the Mideast. Even Arthur Balfour of the "Balfour Declaration" of 1919 had begun to move away from his own words by the 1930s as both him and the British learned about the true intentions of the Zionists, which was a demographic majority Jewish state in Palestine, at whatever the cost. That was the reason the Jewish settlers began attacking British authorities in Palestine in the 1940s. A bankrupt and exhausted Britain then fled Palestine quickly after WW2, just like it did in South Asia. In Palestine, its method was to just dump the problem on the UN.
The Nakba was planned and prepared for decades by Zionists in Palestine to achieve the objective of this demographic majority Jewish state. It was implemented by the Zionist militias who later formed the IDF. The Arabs invaded Palestine in response to the Nakba, but were too weak in the face of prepared Zionists, whose ranks were bolstered with WW2 veterans.

Israel/Zionists have mentally and physically defeated the Arabs/Muslims, I acknowledge that. I would just ask that people at least know the truth of what happened rather than quoting from omnipresent Zionist propaganda, often without realizing its Zionist propaganda.
