Right.
When I say that long term Palestinians will prevail then that's not appreciated; but that's not happening any time soon. Short term, Gaza's historic struggle was reliant on the northern fronts and the combine worked well for over a year until things started to unravel starting about the last two months of 2024 and unraveled by early 2025.
Israel+NATO+some Arab countries have indeed prevailed over the short term at a great cost to the Palestinian Cause and I fear for Syrian and Lebanese territorial integrity. And worse is yet to come for the Arab countries who are near Israel. It is in the nature of Israel to expand, assassinate, appropriate, threaten. It is a scorpion which will sting its frog no matter what the frog does.
And it is not just me: Those bloggers who were championing the Palestinians since October 2023 such as Larry C. Johnson, Ray McGovern, Scott Ritter, Electronic Intifida, The Grey Zone, Chas Freeman, Alastair Crooke and many other acknowledge Israel has prevailed for now; there is less talk about Gaza in their discourse now.
