Tel Aviv is known as Israel’s liberal capital; home to nearly half a million residents it’s also a holiday destination, with beaches, bars and nightclubs. But almost exactly 60km south is Gaza. Reporter Matthew Cassel speaks to Israelis in the city, to see what they think of the war, famine and genocide happening next door, and the growing international condemnation against it

Israel commits genocide in Gaza after four key atrocities, UN commission declares

A United Nations commission of inquiry says Israel has committed genocide, as defined under international law, against Palestinians in Gaza

Israel is committing genocide against Palestinians in war-torn Gaza, according to a devastating UN-commissioned inquiry.

Four of the five genocidal acts defined under international law have been committed, the probe found

Complicity in Genocide , Oh Nobel peace prize nominators .

The Israelis are going to turn the entirety of Gaza City into a barren and ruined wasteland, so that the Gazans have nowhere else to live and have to seek refuge somewhere else. This happens while the entire world is watching.
Where is the UN armed forces intervention like during the Yugoslavian Civil War in Bosnia, 1990s?

The UN is useless… they no authority to shoot or stop anything, they would just get in the way. Considering that the idf is carpet bombing the UN would probably lose a lot of people. The only good thing would be that the UN would record crimes against humanity this was very beneficial for Bosnia after the war to seek justice.

While the Yugoslavian Civil War in Bosnia in complex, it started with the UNPROFOR in 1992 it was only after the Islamic countries started arming the Bosnians after repeated warnings fell of deaf ear in the West; in many cases the peacekeepers moved aside and allowed the Serb's to kill; it was only after the Srebrenica massacre that was broadcasted live did the West and UN move.

Had some of the events before the intervention not occurred, the UN and West/NATO wouldn't have cared or moved.
After decades of brainwashing by Zion media doubt the western world will do anything. Fascism is on the rise, nationalist fervor being stoked into flames which is being used to burn anyone who opposes the atrocities being committed under their name. World doesn't realise that Palestine is just another stepping stone for greater crimes and colonisations. If the Jews aren't stopped the atrocities will spread to Egypt, Syria, Jordan, Iraq and Lebanon. They will turn on other Muslim countries from Iran, Pakistan , Indonesia and Malaysia. All Muslim countries must open up supply lines of weapons and soldiers to defeat the Zionist agenda. Russia and China are the key they really do need to start the ball rolling. The defeat of Israel will bring peace and prosperity to the world.

Israeli Occupation’s Use of Unconventional Weapons Causes Bodies to Vanish in Gaza

22 Dec 2024

The Israeli occupation forces have been deploying highly destructive and unconventional weapons during their ongoing genocide in Gaza, leading to the disappearance of victims' bodies and exacerbating the already dire medical crisis. According to reports from Gaza's medical professionals, these weapons, including vacuum and thermobaric bombs, are causing bodies to “evaporate,” leaving no trace behind.

Maher al-Shafei, the deputy head of the men’s surgery department at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah, described the severity of injuries resulting from these attacks. He noted that among every ten martyrs, four are typically unaccounted for, with their bodies vanishing entirely. Injuries from these attacks include simultaneous fractures, burns, and mutilations, sometimes even resulting in organs missing from the victims’ bodies. The scale of the injuries is unprecedented, with over 107,000 citizens injured and more than 45,000 martyred since the violence began in October 2023.

The weapons used, including American-made "Mark" and "GBU" bombs, are known for their ability to reach temperatures of 7,000 to 9,000 degrees Celsius, causing extreme devastation. These weapons explode inside victims’ bodies, vaporizing them and reducing them to invisible fragments, while also obliterating residential buildings. The Palestinian Civil Defense has reported that these weapons are responsible for the disappearance of over 7,800 bodies, which never reached hospitals due to the severe damage.

In addition to the physical harm, the humanitarian situation is becoming more desperate. Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital, the only medical facility in central Gaza, is operating at three times its capacity, with insufficient space, oxygen, and medical supplies. Despite these shortages, medical staff continue to treat the influx of injured civilians, with up to 50 surgeries performed daily, compared to the usual weekly total of 40-50. The hospital has been subjected to bombing, both inside and around its premises, further complicating the already dire medical response.

International organizations, including the Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor, have raised alarm about the use of these internationally banned weapons, which violate international humanitarian law. These attacks, resulting in the vaporization of bodies and other horrifying injuries, constitute war crimes under the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court. Salah Abdel Ati, head of the International Commission to Support Palestinian Rights (HAD), has called for accountability, warning that the global community must not remain silent in the face of such atrocities.

Human rights groups are demanding the formation of an international investigation into the use of these weapons by the Israeli occupation. The world must act to stop the genocide in Gaza and hold the perpetrators accountable for the war crimes they are committing, including the use of thermal and incendiary weapons against civilians in urban areas. The international community is urged to intervene and ensure that justice is served for the victims of this ongoing atrocity.

Looks like a hopeless situation. The Palestine Conference is scheduled far too late and will bring nothing if real measures to isolate Israel aren't taken. There have to be cutting off all ties with Israel and sanctioning them. If it doesn't happen immediately, then this is just a smokescreen for upcoming ethnic cleansing.

Egyptian military isn't going to do anything. In the end they'll allow Israel to force Palestinians into Egypt then the Jews will try move them to Europe. That they will destroy Gaza and also apply economic pressure on Europe. Passing on all responsibility to Europe.

Everybody took a step back because Egypt said it won't allow the ethnic cleansing of Gaza.

When they should be doing the opposite, announcing implementing policies compounding Egypt's stance, not leaving Egypt alone to face all the pressure.

Now the US/Israel will target Egypt as it has seen nobody else will make a stance.

From my long political experience, I expect Israel will strike Egypt's Sinai in the near future to displace Palestinians there,
and after the success of the displacement, America will intervene as a mediator to calm things down between them.

I hope the plan does not succeed.
