You are very much deflecting. You said “If you feel that the way to stop the carnage is to hold Israel accountable, then I must respect your right to hold such a view”

I never said that, the lack of holding Israel accountable is what is letting the carnage carry on. This lack of accountability has always led to Israel being given the green light to do as they wish before or after October 7. I’ve explained it many times yet you either deflect or ignore the role of it.

And yet you continue to misstate. All I have said in the post quoted above is that I must respect your right to hold the view that you stated. That is all.

I didn’t misstate anything. We’ve had plenty of conversations about this very topic. Remember before you were blaming Muslims and Arabs for their inactions yet said do not blame the West and Israel for taking advantage of the situation. Yes that is very much deflecting and it is a recurring theme with you.

That is not deflection. It is a mere statement of fact. If one is weak, you must pay the price accordingly. That is the way international geopolitics work. Always have, and always will.

So we can agree that the West is complicit in Israel’s genocide? And that lack of accountability is giving Israel free reign to commit their crimes without any consequences? It is also contributing to the prolonging of the suffering of the people of Gaza and the genocide “war”

No, you cannot force my agreement with such tactics. I am entitled to my own view and opinion, just as you are. My view and opinion is worthy of the same respect that I accord your view and opinion. The two need not be the same view or opinion.
