Brought a spare frame to Shenzhen. Had ultra-thin prescription lenses fitted onto them for 1/4th the price I would have paid in North America (and I would have had to wait 1 wk to pick up my glasses vs 45 minutes in Shenzhen). The eye exam was free too. I basically forgone getting my prescription updated first by an optometrist in North America. I simply walked into a Shenzhen optics shop and the rest was history...
The only thing come close to North American prices was dim sum and peking duck. Both were still 20-25% cheaper than in North America!
