US lawmakers say files related to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein were improperly redacted ahead of their release by the Department of Justice (DOJ).

Members of Congress on Monday were allowed to begin a review of the unredacted versions of the approximately three million pages of files released under the Epstein Files Transparency Act (EFTA) since December.

"The core issue is that they're not complying with... my law, because these were scrubbed back in March by Donald Trump's FBI," Democratic Representative Ro Khanna told MS NOW.

At least one document has been unredacted since the lawmakers' complaint, with Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche saying on X: " The DOJ is committed to transparency."

The files' redactions came under scrutiny last week after lawyers for Epstein's victims said the latest tranche of files included email addresses and nude photos in which the names and faces of potential victims could be identified.

Singer Chappell Roan says she has left the talent agency led by Casey Wasserman, whose name appears in the Epstein files.

Announcing her split with the agency, Roan said she has a "duty to protect her team" and her decision reflected her belief that "meaningful change in our industry requires accountability".

Wasserman has been criticised after his flirtatious emails to Ghislaine Maxwell, sent in 2003, were revealed among the millions of files published in relation to convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

Roan made no mention of Epstein, nor the Epstein files, in her statement on Instagram announcing her departure.

"As of today, I am no longer represented by Wasserman, the talent agency led by Casey Wasserman," she said.

Roan added: "No artist, agent or employee should ever be expected to defend or overlook actions that conflict so deeply with our own moral values."
The BBC has reached out to Wasserman for comment.

Possible, even likely.
Much cheaper to 'honey trap' some well connected people and blackmail them then to repeat another Jonathan Pollard like espionage operation.
However close the relationship between America and Israel maybe but they are still two different countries with often diverging interests AND there are plenty still in the American agencies/govt who are patriotic Americans and men of high integrity--such men won't allow unhindered Mossad operation as much as possible. So better to trap men.
But, of course, I have no proof of any Mossad link.

Arab public is largely conservative. Until the push to make Western music concerts and lifestyle appear in around 2017-2020 time. The traditional values of Arabs aren't necessarily about religion a lot of it is cultural like beliefs around public reputation and honor.

UAE has been saying for long time it doesn't believe in Islamic values. And believes people should move on from Islamic lifestyle to 'modernize'.

I won't get into religious angle of what's true or what isn't. These days are not a good time to speak the truth people are drifting away from God at a rapid pace, it's bigger than us and beyond our control now. No idea how things will play out or how God will look at humanity going forward. That's God's knowledge alone. A ton of people now think God isn't real and are dismissive at any mention of God, even. There's strong disbelief going around.

But point stands we haven't seen any accountability towards Jewish-American community whom are responsible for blackmail operation and are heavily entrenched in the US government+ current administration. It's therefore just trying to get it over with and put the Mossad - Jewish-American community illegal activities behind us. They want the american public to forget about it.

IF you're not ideologically driven you won't solve this Jewish problem. This is why it's ultimately going to be ideologically driven Muslims that are going to confront the Jewish led order. Americans are not ideologically driven for as long as their economy is thriving enough. They won't ever mount a revolution unless there's widespread unemployment and poverty.....

Epstein and his “customers” used primary school year books to select and kidnap children which were later killed. The photos of these children in Epstein files are not being released by Trump.

Jack Lang, the president of France’s Arab World Institute, has offered his resignation after his past contact with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein triggered a money laundering probe at home, according to several media outlets.

The move followed the announcement on Friday by French prosecutors that they opened a preliminary investigation into Lang – a veteran French politician who has served as culture and education minister – and his daughter Caroline for alleged “aggravated tax fraud laundering.”

The probe was launched after revelations by investigative outlet Mediapart into possible financial links to Epstein. The files do not suggest that Lang was involved in the late financier’s sexual crimes.

Lang’s name appeared hundreds of times in US Justice Department documents released in late January. Mediapart reported that Caroline Lang was listed to receive €5 million ($6 million) in Epstein’s will. Both have denied any wrongdoing.

However, in a letter cited by France Info, Lang told French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot that the “toxic” climate of “personal attacks” risked harming “this magnificent institution,” adding that he wanted to “calmly refute” accusations before an extraordinary board meeting.

Founded in 1980 by France along with 18 Arab countries, the Arab World Institute is a Paris-based cultural center that promotes understanding of the Arab world through exhibitions, debates, education programs, and a museum.

Epstein died in a New York jail in 2019 while awaiting trial on federal charges of sex trafficking involving underage girls. While his death was ruled a suicide, it fueled speculation that the financier was murdered to prevent testimony on alleged crimes committed by influential US figures.

The release of the Epstein files has also triggered renewed scrutiny of several public figures, including former UK ambassador to Washington Peter Mandelson, who was accused of receiving payments from the financier. The Mandelson scandal has become a major blow to UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, who was accused of failing to properly vet the ex-envoy.

My 2cents, they resign and disappear till a time comes when a new fake boogieman is created by the west vis. Iran. Noko or maybe China etc to divert world attention. Then they will silently re-enter without anyone noticing. They have done it before.

She is now Director of the UAE Permanent Committee for Human Rights (PCHR).The documents don’t say Epstein secured her UN role but they do show timing, access, and career-related proximity that raise questions.
