PFX mockup. Notice the small reshaped canopy and wingtip mounted MRAAM

Interesting but - I know I‘m again the one who ruins the party - it could just be a misshaped model … we have seen FC-31/J-31 models on various Airshow since years and they at bet resemble the outer shape of the real one.

But anyway an intesrsting find.

Is this the officially released model of the JF-17 PFX?

If this is true, I'm having a hard time understanding the purpose and significance of it using the PFX instead of the B4.

Mis shaped model sitting inside NASTP for display.

Well, we have seen the aforementioned „misshaped“ J-31 also at SAC & AVIC.
I think sometimes it’s not worth to take such display models too seriously since the company that made them or the office that ordered them had no interest to show any details.

They're creating a new project for their aviation industry to keep the team up.

No , its a model contracted to a poorly skilled fiberglass model building shop probably in some small setup to build quickly to meet the short deadline the person setting this display up had and what you see is this.

Probably has nothing representative of what PFX is, just a decorative piece to add to the expo walkway as visitors are briefed

I am amazed if anyone tried to reach out to DGPR PAF for any meaningful answer about the real idea of PFX?

I thought this light fighter concept was sort of like a modern day F-5, but with the potential for an unmanned version for loyal wingman aka collaborative combat aircraft

Similar to the “Vanguard” from Northrop recently unveiled:

Instead of having a loyal wingman that has a human piloted version... Why not have a traditional manned fighter jet with a loyal wingman design... Like having a loyal wingman L-15 or even early JF-17s being converted to loyal wingmans.. the A.I would have a feast with all the flight data that could be fed to it over time and can result in better situational performance ?!?
