I would love BD to get JF-17 but makes no sense if they are going with Typhoon as well.

I think their best combo will be J-10C and JF-17 Block 3 in case the Typhoon deal doesn't make it through and maybe the Bangladeshi govt. is also looking at such alternatives if European deal doesn't happen.

What kind of "jackpot" have they hit that they're no able to "procure" Typhoons and Jeffs (and according to some J-10s).

Any of our Bangladeshi members can shed some light into it? I'd like to apply to myself for research purposes

LOI* but yea you're right to an extent. If it's like 8 or 12 typhoons than its a direct replacement for their Mig-29s

I think BD economy is not too bad, and can possibly stretch to 16 off Typhoons.

Politics and actual requirements will reach a homeostasis.

it won’t be a surprise to see a mix of types.

It makes total sense for Bangladesh to obtain
JF-17 given that it is operating F-7 and needs them to be replaced.

Most importantly with Hasina not in the picture it signals something has changed which previously precluded any serious movement in procurement/capability,

Seems like they are very close to a deal, why would PAF publicise this and say they are in "detailed talks" unless they are confident of a deal?

now we have good number of export order for jf 17 . hope assembly line open around till 2030 easily

If JF-17 gets BD order that will be 5 Air Forces. Saab Gripen is used by 6 Air Forces.

That is incredible.

Seems production line is reserved for export only for the forseeable future

not necessarily a bad thing.
