Tbh I think PAF folks are really sharing videos of the destroyed rafales and the pounding the gave the indian C&C nodes and S400 because there is literally no way we are getting even I interest from all these parties

I am sure PAC/ PAF has made arrangements hence doing this meetings and talks about JF17.. They imported WS-21 engine a couple of years now.. what if they have been able to test or already tested JF with WS21?

For all other members, apart from joke i think JF has a potential, lets say if a country is getting sanction proof air to ground SOW including cruise, air to air on meteor level and air to ship with a pretty modern aesa radar, thats not a bad deal..every country can use them for LIFT as well as employing all these munitions which otherwise getting from west all combine is a tough job..
Lastly dont forget.. its cheap if you get a 4.5 gen fighter jet with all kind of weapons just around 30 to 35million? Is there any other jet that cheap with that much weapon package available?

Plus, this fighter wont have sanctions and other issues from china and Pakistan and will have long term support.

If you are true Pakistani with vast experience think the deals are probably just rumours. Pray that you are wrong as you dont want muslim fellow nations doing stupid mistakes by sticking to war mongering and expensive companies that lure them into sanction, dept traps incase they turn against these companies countries even if diplomatically.

Food for thought what if PAF also offer local weapons integration with JF17? Especially in case of azerbaijan, saudi and indonesia?
 
thunder is sanction free , open integration with local weapons to any nation . it suits every nation that wants to develop local industry .
 
Guys please stop the hopebait. The sudanese deal happened months ago and is still extremely suspicious regardless . The Libyan deal appeared out of nowhere and since then we have heard nothing, unless we get clear details on whos paying for it dont care for it too much. The iraqi deal has been stuck in negotiation hell for the last decade so don’t get too excited. The saudi deal is just the a personal delusion for rueters that literally no one else can back up. The indonesians have literally not even arrived in Pakistan yet but we somehow know their entire orderbook despite how crazy and disorganised their procurement has been for the last couple of years (they literally publicised plans to buy j10 only to back down last minute because their procurement is just chasing headlines). The only deal that is progressing relatively smoothly and i can see genuinely happening is Bangladesh and I still don’t see it being finalised this year

Hello sir,

Than jf17 will also be used in strategic theatre. Giving it additional edge.

I have thoroughly studied and have good education on defence subject since 2006. Even before when i joined defence.pk..

F15 like fighters will face equal level threat in 50 to 80km range with jf17 block 3 fighter with pl15. With LPI, low rcs yes its possible. My point with ak01 is not that jf17 is best against f15 but that jf17 if incorporate by ksa will have equal fighter in some scenarios where heavy fighter will have same surviving probability.

But,

Jf17 also has indigenous software integration trust me in modern war software is playing more role than hardware. Even if f15 fires first and jf17 survives that first shot the second shot will be closer in range and dangerous for both. Pl 15 dual pule make it difficult for f15 maws.

But if someone asks f15 or jf17 chose one its f15 as it can remain in air far more than jf17.

Other think I will keep repeating till im in this forum. Not buying jf17 is worst decision for these countries. Buy it so that in case of war there are no sanction issues.

Easy, going from expression of interest to signing takes time, not everything will be done in the open, it's not "hopebait", these are reliable sources. All deals may not materialise, but if even 1 or 2 do, thats amazing for PAC and PAF.

Easy on the doombait.

Another thing to add, not since the 70s/80s have we had a real "lightweight" fighter.

F-16, Gripen, Mirage 2000 and MIG-29 were more medium. No real true successor to F-5 and MIG-21/F-7 ever really materialised.

JF-17 is that plane.
