• 14 Block-2B aircraft (however, these were produced in 2020, so they fall within the previous decade).
• 15 Block-3 aircraft produced in 2022.
• 6 Block-3 aircraft produced in 2023 (could be more).

We don't yet have the acquisition data for the PAF covering 2024–2026.

PAC has become extremely secretive since the new government took office in February 2024. Or, I would say, since the attempted coup on 9 May 2023.

I don't think PAC going secretive has anything to do with any political situation. We just have not been producing Jf-17s for PAF, they latest ones have gone Azerbaijan, along with PAF's own block-2. Fighter procurement has taken a back seat in the age of drones and rockets.

So far in the first six years of this decade, Pakistan Air Force has inducted 49 new JF-17 Thunders, 20 new J-10C Indus Dragons, and thousands of drones in different categories of all shapes and sizes including Bayraktar Akinci and CAIG Wing Loong.

In fact, Pakistan now has more options than before. It appears to be waiting to see what further inductions the Indian Air Force makes before deciding on its next acquisitions.

We were prevented from buying fighter jets from america and in those days that was the ONLY option Pakistan had to buy world class deadly advanced fighter jets. Now we can get them from China. We have NO NEEED to purchase weapons systems from anywhere else.

I hope this is true. India still has a long way to go to catch up with the PAF, and drones are now an absolute necessity. I dream of a day when all intelligence-based operations are conducted using FPV drones, similar to how Israel operates.

No that's too much even for China with 20 trillion economy, remember the operating/ maintenance and logistic cost of 5th gen jets is 3 to 4 times of 4th/4.5th gen jets,for China 1500 to 2000 5th gen jets and rest of PLAAF/PLAN would be up coming 6th gen jets

You missed the content of post by @SBD-3 that I was replying to ?? Even i expect Pakistan to acquire 100 J-35 and 150 J-10CE but reality is usually different from our wishes and expectations.

This is a major misunderstanding.

The JL-10 fighter trainer is significantly cheaper to procure and operate than the J-16 heavy fighter. This is a fact. However, the PLAAF's deployment of the JL-10 fighter trainer here is not entirely based on cost considerations.

However, upon closer inspection, this actually increases costs rather than reduces them. This is because the J-16 heavy fighters are still operating together on missions.

The aircraft deployed by the Philippines were all small, low-altitude, low-speed planes, and they did not carry air combat weapons. This is not within the J-16 fighter jet's area of expertise.

The JL-10 fighter trainer aircraft is perfectly suited for this task.

The PLA has consistently emphasized "training through combat." The Philippines is conveniently acting as a free "training partner," training excellent pilots for the PLAAF.
